SUMMARY
In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of a Department Director keep designated buildings and grounds in clean and orderly condition for occupants by performing the following duties.
Hours:
FT: Monday - Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm
CORE FUNCTIONS
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, offices and client spaces.
Ensures that exteriors of buildings and grounds are kept clean and free of ice and snow.
Inventories janitorial supplies and reorders as appropriate.
Assists maintenance and custodian crew as required.
Performs miscellaneous errands as directed.
Reports damaged ceiling tiles, wall defects and lighting outages.
Respond to alarm calls and emergencies.
Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications

This role is critical in ensuring that services are delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about helping individuals through the challenging process of withdrawal management. The Nurse service Coordinator will play a key role in the recovery process and work alongside a dedicated team to provide the best care possible to those affected by addiction.
The Nurse service Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator to provide supervision and education and ensure compliance with FS protocols and procedures, coordinate/oversee the transition of clients to the next most appropriate level of care, including when appropriate, home or community based living with outpatient ambulatory treatment (i.e. individual /family therapy, psychiatric services, medication assisted treatment).In addition, advocate for clients and provides information on accessing community services. Act as a liaison for a smooth transition of care, often serving as a support role for clients during difficult times.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and Support LPNs and Technicians:
Oversee the daily activities of LPNs and nursing technicians, ensuring efficient patient care delivery.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to new or less experienced LPNs and technicians.

Patient Education:

Promote self-care strategies to assist patients in their recovery journey.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure that all withdrawal management procedures and interventions follow regulatory standards, program policy and procedures.
Mainain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other privacy laws.
Ensure safe disposal of medications and adherence to controlled substance regulations.
Audit discharge documentation from each department to ensure compliance
Training and Education:
Conduct in-service training sessions and supervisions to update staff on new clinical practices, protocols, and regulatory changes.

The Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) will provide direct medical care in RNP's First Step program. The provider will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage clients undergoing mental health and substance use treatment including withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines. This role ensures safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and agency standards.
First Step (Residential Detoxification Program) This is a highly structured inpatient medically monitored detoxification program, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This program offers individual counseling, group therapy, case management, referral services for continuing care, and medical management. First Step is a CARF accredited, DPH licensed 27 bed residential detox unit for individuals aged 18 and over struggling with addiction to alcohol, opiates and/or benzodiazepines.
HOURS: Per diem - Every other weekend flexible hours (4 hour shift days or eves)
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Care
· Conduct comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessments on admission, including history, physical exam, and withdrawal risk evaluation.
· Initiate, adjust, and monitor medication-assisted withdrawal protocols
· If needed, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
· Manage acute withdrawal symptoms, complications, and co-occurring conditions within scope of practice.

Located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the facilities accept men and women ages 18 and older with needs regarding substance use only, mental health issues only, or with co-occurring issues relating to both areas.

In accordance with RNPs Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies, the CRI/PSW Clinical Social Worker reports to the Program Director and ensures that all the needs of our Law Enforcement Partners and the community they serve are met. This includes providing a professional and timely service that adheres to RNPs mission statement and philosophy of client care. This position will be located out of our Law Enforcement Partners agency.

Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00 am -4:00 pm
CORE FUNCTIONS
Provides support to RNPs Law Enforcement Partners and ensures access to community based behavioral health services for the community they serve and assists in identifying and resolving barriers to care.
Conducts and documents mental health evaluations in the field in collaboration with our Law Enforcement Partners. Works collaboratively with RNPs Law Enforcement Partners when mental health crisis calls arise.
Assess and records medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to the individuals unique circumstances, including an assessment of strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
Provides information and education to individuals, families and groups concerning substance use disorder and Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Navigates clients through or around transportation, public benefits, childcare, and other barriers to successfully participate in MAT services. Assist in linkage to recovery support activities by removing personal and environmental obstacles.
Refers individuals to appropriate medical, psychiatric, housing and/or behavioral health services utilizing designated collaborating organizations (DCOs) whenever possible to ensure rapid entrance into programs without delay.
Works closely with colleagues and community-based providers to ensure clients and their families receive access to timely, high quality care and services, including follow up to ensure connection. Serves as a client advocate in obtaining necessary services.
Documents all contacts; works collaboratively with the clinical team to assist in identifying and placing clients in the appropriate aftercare services that offers interventions tailored to their diagnoses.
Participates in interdisciplinary continuous quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis; participates in weekly clinical meetings and individual supervision. Maintains detail records of program goals and objectives.
Attends forums and meetings to advance the CRIs services that are provided by RNP.
Adheres to all our Law Enforcement Partners guidelines and policies regarding behavior, staff interactions, boundaries and communicates through the proper chain of command within the respective Law Enforcement agency.
Adheres to all documentation and reporting requirements per RNP and Law Enforcement policy.
Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications
CORE COMPETENCIES
Masters degree in the behavioral sciences and/or MSW with LCSW, LMFT preferred. MSW with two (2) years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience while working on LCSW.
Candidates who speak, read and write Spanish fluently are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience in connecting clients to community services and resources required.
Knowledge of the physical, psychological, social, and economic effects of substance abuse.
Knowledge of mental health issues, homelessness, medical, and trauma.
Knowledge of Opiate Use Disorder and Medically Assisted Treatment.
Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate information pertinent to the provision of quality care.
Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships with excellent communication skills and the ability to project a professional image.
Must be able to pass a background check to obtain clearance to enter Law Enforcement Agencies. This background check is in addition to RNPs required checks.

Must possess a valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.

In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care, and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Program Director, provides night monitoring at Tina Klem Serenity House to ensure the safety and whereabouts of all person served and to respond to any needs should the need arise by performing the following duties:
HOURS: Sunday & Monday 12:00 am - 8:00 am
CORE FUNCTIONS
Remain awake and alert at all times to tend to the needs of the program and responsibilities of the Night Monitor.
Utilize appropriate methods of effective night monitoring which includes rounds and walk throughs of the building as scheduled to check all bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas (such as laundry room, kitchen, living room and dining area).
Complete head counts and confirm in accordance with the current census.
Acknowledge and document any and all behavior(s) on the part of any person served that is considered inappropriate or a cause for concern.
Attempt to redirect any person served in a respectful and appropriate manner as needed and offer supportive counseling as deemed necessary.
Utilizes crisis intervention techniques and contingency plans whenever necessary based on person served needs and staff assessment.
Document significant medical, psychological, and social issues in the person served charts, and communication issues in Communication Log.
Submit timely incident reports as established by RNP Policies and Procedures.
Participate in personal and professional training and development activities to remain current with standards, and best practice techniques.
Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications
CORE COMPETENCIES
Minimum of an Associate's degree in behavioral health care and at least two (2) years experience in a related field preferred with clients with co-occurring disorders or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of basic counseling skills, crisis intervention and documentation .
Understanding of the physical, psychological, social and economic effects of substance abuse, homelessness , medical and mental hearth disorders.
Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships with clients, colleagues and supervisors.
Excellent communication skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
Incumbents may be encouraged to secure professional certification (e.g. CAC and/or SCCD).
A valid CT drivers license is required.
