The Peer Recovery Supporter position provides counseling assistance to chemically abusing or dependent persons. The facilitator collaborates with behavioral health team members in individual treatment plan by applying specialized knowledge of human development and behaviors and social, economic and cultural systems in directly assisting individuals and groups to improve or restore their capacity for social functioning, including counseling and the use of psychosocial interventions and social psychotherapy.
· Maintain project logs, reports, and records in appropriate files and databases.
· Provide recovery education to individuals for every stage of change from pre-contemplation to sustained recovery maintenance.
· Meet with clients individually for PRS sessions (when and where applicable) to help engagement in Recovery, Resiliency, and Wellness as defined by the ORC definition of Peer Recovery Support.
· Provide a model for both people in recovery and staff by demonstrating that recovery is possible, in a positive and professional manner.
· Assist individuals to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths and areas of improvement regarding recovery as well as developing their own plan for progressing recovery.
· Promote self-advocacy by assisting individuals in expressing their voice, needs, goals and objectives.
· Actively identify and support links to community resources that support the individual's goals and interests.
· Link individuals to appropriate professional resources including, but not limited to, case managers, counselors, physicians, nurse practitioners, and/or psychiatrist.
· Provide encouragement for opportunities to get involved in community-based activities.
· Identify barriers to full participation in community resources and developing strategies to overcome those barriers.
· Communicate needs of patient to the appropriate staff member, and report weekly to Vice President/Clinical Director on progress of clients seen.
The Peer Recovery Supporter's role is to provide hope and support for others in recovery from
a substance use disorder. They will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to
recovering individuals to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer
Recovery Supporter must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and
to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.

Formal Education Required:

* Word, Excel and Access at a basic level, MS-windows based computer environment. Must achieve passing score on test administered by Human Resources.
* Medical terminology, CPT, HCPC's and ICD-10 coding.

Contacting charged off customers by telephone or mail to collect to negotiate balance in full or make.
Updating collection files and completes all necessary paperwork.
Negotiating payment plans protecting the Bank's interest and completes decision-making process.
Locating customers via skip tracing and Lexis/Nexis.
Recommending action regarding repossessions, bankruptcies, and/or foreclosures.
