Essential Job Functions
The Parks, Recreation and Tourism department is seeking seasonal applicants to prepare food for daily concessions for recreational league sports, weekend tournaments and scheduled caterings throughout the year for Rock Hill PRT concessions venues. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction, continued catering success, and daily operations at our parks.
Prepare, serve and organize catering requests.
Operate large volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, or griddles.
Verify that prepared foods meet requirements for quality and quantity.
Wash, cut, and prepare foods designed for cooking.
Read orders aloud from kitchen printer or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
Cook and prepare food items such as: hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken tenders.
Cook items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
Pre-cook items in small quantity for later use by keeping them warm to prevent food waste.
Serve orders to customers at window and counter.
Clean, stock, and re-stock workstations daily.
Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.
