The Opportunity
We're seeking a Recruiter with a deep understanding of the industrial and/or marine industry to source, screen, and onboard skilled trade professionals. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and knows how to build strong pipelines of welders, fitters, electricians, pipefitters, riggers, and other skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities
Source and recruit qualified trade professionals for contract and project-based roles
Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from job posting to offer acceptance
Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess trade certifications and experience
Coordinate pre-employment screenings, onboarding, and compliance documentation
Maintain talent pipelines and develop relationships with skilled candidates
Collaborate closely with account managers and operations to fulfill client needs quickly and accurately
Requirements
3+ years of recruiting experience in the industrial, marine, or skilled trades sectors
Proven track record in high-volume recruiting for craft/trade roles
Deep familiarity with roles such as welders, pipefitters, electricians, riggers, millwrights, etc.
Strong sourcing skills (job boards, social media, referrals, databases)
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage competing priorities
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and onboarding platforms
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Position Summary
The Shipyard Staffing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the company's workforce needs by sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified skilled trades and professional talent for shipbuilding, repair, and maritime operations. Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract skilled shipyard personnel, including welders, fitters, electricians, pipefitters, marine laborers, engineers, and support staff.

Conduct initial screenings, assess qualifications, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle - from requisition approval through onboarding - ensuring timely communication and a positive candidate experience.

You will be responsible for conducting candidate searches, evaluating resumes, and conducting interviews to ensure a strong fit. Additionally, you will work closely with our clients to understand their staffing needs and ensure that we are providing them with the best candidates for their businesses.

Conduct candidate searches through various channels, including job portals, social media, and referrals.
Review and evaluate resumes to identify qualified candidates.
Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate skills and qualifications.
Prepare and present candidates to clients, ensuring a strong match for their staffing needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our database.
Collaborate with clients to understand their staffing requirements and provide ongoing support.
Build and maintain a network of potential candidates and industry professionals.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment or staffing, preferably in the clerical/adm. and skilled/unskilled industry.
Strong knowledge of recruiting techniques and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using applicant tracking systems and databases.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
