    The Talent Acquisition Support Specialist will provide operational support to the Talent Acquisition team. Supporting the talent acquisition team by ensuring all hiring practices are in compliance with relevant government (federal, state, local) and industry specific regulations and standards. Seasonal Position: This role is a seasonal, temporary assignment expected to end on or around June 1, 2026, subject to business needs. Start and end dates will be confirmed in the written offer letter. Pay Rate: $25.00 hr In-office Monday through Friday with 8 hour work days during normal business hours ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Partners with Workforce Planning to create and post requisitions based on hiring plan * Creates job requisitions in compliance with company policy and with state and local law * Familiar with state and local employment laws affecting job advertisements. Example: pay transparency/ ban the box * Ensure compliance with all new hire processes and procedures * Monitor drug testing, background checks and new hire documentation * Verify successful completion of education, employment history and professional references for hired position * Daily status checks of new hire, updating managers and TA team as needed * Proactively communicate with candidates to ensure completion of necessary tasks and procedures within a timely manner * Coordinate candidates start date, day 1 tasks while providing a great first day experience * Escalate necessary onboarding discrepancies to the corresponding point of contact * Identify opportunities for improving hiring manager/candidate experiences * Create and maintain ad hoc reports * May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES * Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include Supervisor I- TA Operations, Director- Talent Acquisition. * Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management) JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements * High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience * 1-3 years of compliance and/or operations experience in a talent acquisition function * Understanding of general employment law and compliance guidelines * Understanding of DOT regulations regarding hiring preferred * Prior experience utilizing ATS systems * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Working knowledge of MS Office, proficiency in data entry * Must be highly organized while managing multiple priorities * Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting critical deadlines * Passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong collaboration and attention to detail PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor * Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device WORKING CONDITIONS * Regular business hours.
