The Role As our Technical Supply Chain Manager, you'll drive our transition to full-scale hardware production. Key Responsibilities Lead sourcing of critical components. Evaluate and qualify vendors for technical capability, cost, and compliance. Manage supplier onboarding, performance, and long-term relationships. Work with HW Engineering to ensure DFM and compliance from the beginning of design through production. Establish traceability and documentation aligned with government audit requirements. Support CM readiness planning focused on cost, schedule, and compliance. Conduct make-vs-buy assessments and streamline prototype-to-production transitions. Maintain supplier compliance records and audit trail databases. Support internal and government audits with supply chain documentation. Required Qualifications 10+ years in hardware supply chain, sourcing, or technical program roles. Hands-on experience bringing hardware products from prototype to production. Deep familiarity with defense supply chain risks and vendor compliance. Strong knowledge of U.S. defense procurement regulations (ITAR, DFARS, NDAA, EAR, etc.). Technical fluency-able to interpret engineering specs, BOMs, CAD, and PLM systems. The Role We are seeking a Hardware Product Manager (open level: Product Manager through Principal) to help drive the development of Red 6's next-generation hardware systems. This role will work closely with the VP of Product, our current Director of Product Management, Business Development, Program Management, and Hardware/Firmware Engineering teams to deliver mission-ready solutions. The Hardware PM will take on highly technical decision-making, weighing trade-offs across custom computing platforms, optical stacks for AR, mechanical assemblies, and helmet system configurations. In addition, this role will work closely with R&D to establish technical capability pipelines and translate emerging technologies into productized solutions. This is a unique opportunity to help define the hardware foundation of augmented reality systems that will transform military training. Role Summary As the Document Control Technical Writer, you will own the creation, release, governance, and continuous improvement of engineering and quality documentation that enables reliable build, test, and delivery of Red 6 hardware. You'll author and maintain assembly and test procedures, ensure Manufacturing Execution System (MES) content is accurate and usable on the floor, and manage QMS artifacts such as WIs, CARs/SCARs, calibration and preventive maintenance records, and KPI dashboards. You'll be the connective tissue between Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Supply Chain, and Quality. What You'll Do Engineering & Manufacturing Documentation Author, edit, and version control assembly procedures, test procedures, acceptance test plans (ATPs), travelers, and shop aids from engineering BOMs, drawings, and schematics. Establish clear illustrations, annotated photos, and step sequencing to drive repeatable build quality and cycletime reduction. Partner with Manufacturing/Test Engineers to validate procedures during pilots and NPI builds; capture lessons learned and update revisions rapidly.
