Preferably the candidate will have managed a plant or business with a high degree of seasonality. He/she will be a seasoned manager with an outstanding track record and reputation for his/her business acumen, business judgment, quantitative analysis ability, leadership skills and integrity. The candidate must have a solid understanding of operational and quality subjects with an ability to contribute toward the Company's business objectives. Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is extremely desirable; as is production scheduling, technical aptitude, and project management expertise. Experience with both branded and private label products is desirable. The successful candidate must also be an excellent manager of people, able to strike an appropriate balance between delegation and hands-on involvement, and able to build, direct and coordinate a proficient team. Given the increasing complexity of the competitive landscape and the fast-moving nature of the company's business, the successful candidate must be capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously and promptly. It is also important for the candidate to anticipate or foresee, as well as address, issues before they become significant obstacles.     At Richmond Beverage Solutions, a division of Dairy Farmers of America, we're proud to nourish families across the country with fresh, high-quality dairy products. We are currently seeking a Production Operator for our EQ Caser line. In this role you will be operating packaging and material handling equipment and supporting outbound logistics in effort to help us deliver safe, high-quality products to our customers. What you'll do * Run production equipment: Operate cooler systems, casers, and top-sealing machinery to meet daily output and quality targets. * Support load-out: Build, stage, and load trucks accurately to ensure on-time deliveries. * Feed automation: Supply pallets to robots/palletizers and monitor flow to minimize downtime. * Perform basic PM: Complete routine preventative maintenance and report issues before they become problems. * Drive forklifts safely: Use powered industrial trucks; certification provided if needed. * Keep clean records: Maintain production, quality, and safety documentation with attention to detail. * Follow GMPs and safety: Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices and all company safety standards. * Pitch in as needed: Take on additional tasks to support team goals What you'll bring * Experience: 1+ years in manufacturing, warehousing, or related environment preferred. * Technical aptitude: Comfort with machinery, basic troubleshooting, and learning new systems. * Attention to detail: Accurate documentation and quality checks. * Teamwork: Reliable communication and collaboration across shifts. * Safety focus: Consistent use of safe work practices and PPE. * Certification: Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification through company training.
