This includes completing intakes on clients, developing case plans, and overall management of the client's case. This position is also required to complete pre-sentence investigations for the courts, complete risk assessments, and other miscellaneous investigations. This position works closely with all facets of the criminal justice system. This position has great deal of interaction with the courts, law enforcement agencies, human service centers, and social services agencies. Eligibility to be licensed as a peace officer in North Dakota or an associate's degree with five years of work experience with individuals in corrections, law enforcement, social work, education or behavioral health setting may be considered. Must be licensable as a ND peace officer under North Dakota Century Code Chapter 12-63 and pass the critical task assessment. Must attend basic peace officer training recognized by the ND POST Board ensuring authorization to perform the peace officer duties of a Parole and Probation Officer in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 12-59-20. Valid Class D driver's license and pass a thorough background investigation and criminal record check.
