Redemption Church company history timeline

2006

Tempe felt like a natural place for them to settle in and raise a family (which now includes three great kids) and they have been at Redemption Tempe since 2006.

2008

Michel was born and raised in Brazil and lived in Paraguay, UK, and Turkey before moving to Arizona in 2008.

While R/Tempe is home, Jason has also been working at Redemption Central as the Operations Pastor since 2008 helping to manage the church’s finances.

2009

Born and raised in Phoenix, John has been at Redemption Tempe since 2009.

2010

Jake first came to Redemption Tempe in 2010 while a student at ASU and spent the next 4 years interning and being shaped by the family of God.

Autumn joined a Redemption Community (RC) in 2010 while attending ASU. The friendships and community she formed played a big role in her coming to know and trust Jesus.

2012

She came to know Christ at the Arcadia congregation and has been at R/Tempe since 2012.

2013

In June 2013 a couple from the Olds area began to attend Redemption Church Calgary and immediately felt in their hearts "we need a church like this in Olds!" Thus began the prayer process to see if this was part of God's plan.

Andrea is a native Arizonan and has been at Redemption Tempe since 2013.

2014

Warren has loved Redemption Tempe and the city of Tempe since moving here in 2014 from the Bronx, New York.

Dec 1 2014 God began to answer those prayers as 6-8 people began to meet at the Ramada Inn in Olds as a satellite location with a live feed service from Calgary.

2015

Carly started attending Redemption Tempe in 2015 — the year she learned what it meant to walk with Jesus.

Mar 15 2015 was our first official service.

2016

Mark has been at Redemption Tempe since 2016 and prior to working as the Pastor of Student Ministries, did campus evangelism at ASU. That experience taught him the importance of deep community, especially for the younger generation.

2017

After uniting through much prayer and hard work over a few short years, Redemption Church of Jacksonville was launched in 2017 as a fully autonomous church and maintains the original property where Hyde Park Baptist first began.

2019

After pastoring in Portland for over 15 years, Josh moved to Arizona to co-lead at Redemption Tempe in 2019.

2020

Kenzie was born and raised in northern Colorado and has been at Redemption Tempe since 2020.
