General Job Description -- Window Press Operator Job Responsibilities: Responsible for quality of material being produced. Responsible for proper identification and marking of steel sections. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the line. Must know how to set up and operate raised panel presses. Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the required production documents. Must know how to correctly identify the various products and produce them according to run sheets. Must direct efforts of press helpers to operate press in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to coordinate the press run with upstream and downstream operations. Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized. Any other duties as required. Requirements: Must know how to set up and operate equipment to produce the various panels. Physical Requirements: Standing/Walking: Job requires standing throughout the entire shift. Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift, depending upon the position assigned. Keep work area clean and well organized. Responsible for accurately identifying, counting, and tagging (labeling) the material properly by customer and for filling all orders in a timely manner to maintain ship schedules. Any other duties as assigned. Requirements: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
