In 1959, Reed City Tool & Die opened as the foremost expert in the tooling industry.
Rod had been employed at the company since his apprenticeship began there in 1974.
In 2009, the Reed City Tool division was acquired, not by another manufacturing company, but by Reed City native and plant general manager Rod Weck.
Fast forward to 2017, and Reed City Tool was acquired by Argosy Private Equity and Stone River Capital Partners.
