ReedPop started up back in 2006, and we’ve been on an epic ride ever since!

2006 The Inaugural New York Comic Con New York Comic Con is officially on the map!

2007

2007 Rock Paper Shotgun launches Created by four independent journalists to cover the thriving yet underserved PC gaming scene, RPS later partnered with Gamer Network for commercial support.

2008

2008 VG247 Launched Gamer Network launches VG247, dedicated to round-the-clock coverage of the biggest games.

2009

2009 ReedPop Established ReedPop officially forms as a peculiar offshoot of Reed Exhibitions.

2010

2010 First ReedPop Star Wars Celebration ReedPop secures a long term license to produce Star Wars Celebration for Lucasfilm.

2010 Acquisition of Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention ReedPop acquires STGCC as the first step in our plans for global expansion.

2011

2011 Nintendo Life joins Gamer Network Gamer Network agrees to commercially represent fansite Nintendo Life, in what will become a long-term partnership.

2012

2012 Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show Eurogamer Network launches Rezzed, an event focused solely on indie games.

2013

2013 MCM Expands into Scotland Taking place in Glasgow, MCM Scotland Comic Con drew in 20,000 fans, making it the largest comic convention in Scotland at that point.

2014

Starting in 2014, ReedPop began looking beyond North America, first partnering with an established convention in Australia (Oz Comic Con), then moving into India, Paris, Shanghai, Beijing and Vienna.

2014 The PC and Indie Games Show Rebranded The Eurogamer show rebrands as the more agnostic EGX and Rezzed becomes EGX Rezzed, reflecting the shows' ongoing growth and diversification.

2014 Launch-a-mania ReedPop launches BookCon, Special Edition NYC, New York Super Week and the Crown Championships of Cosplay Circuit all in one impressive year.

2015

ReedPop’s systematic, scale-based approach to show management faced one of its biggest challenges when it acquired Emerald City ComicCon shortly before the 2015 show.

2015 PAX Does it Again Yeehaw! ReedPop and Penny Arcade launched both company's first show, PAX South, in the lucrative Lone Star State market.

2015 Outside Xbox hits a million YouTube subscribers The channel’s rapid growth established it as one of the UK’s biggest gaming channels and the premier Xbox channel worldwide.

2016

2016 ReedPop Activate is Founded Building off of the success of several non-endemic sales, Activate is formed to scale ReedPop's sponsorship strategy.

2016 Star Trek Mission: NY is Launched Star Trek Mission: NY was developed in partnership with CBS as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.

2017

2017 PAX Gets Unplugged Capitalizing on a booming board game market, ReedPop and Penny Arcade launch PAX Unplugged, a tabletop gaming convention focused on board games, RPGs and TCGs.

2017 MCM Comic Con joins ReedPop MCM Comic Con joins our family, giving us the largest pop culture event footprint across the UK with nearly 300,000 pop culture fans and cosplayers who flock to events in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool and Belfast.

2018

2018 Gamer Network hits 67M monthly users The runaway success of Fornite helps push the network to its highest audience yet.

2018 Comic Con Africa has its Inaugural Event The 2018 event welcomed over 45 000 visitors, 212 exhibitors and almost 400 media.

2019

2019 ReedPop takes Miami Beach by storm! Featuring strong attendance and deep ties to the South Florida community, the first ReedPop operated Florida Supercon saw cast members from The Office, My Hero Academia, Star Trek and more.

2020

2020 More Cosplay Please! Launched in April 2020, Cosplay Central is the global voice of the cosplay community and the premier destination for all things cosplay, including the latest news, videos, advice columns, interviews, tutorials and much more.
