Oversees all aspects of Asset Backed Trading within the Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have Supply Chain experience from multiple refineries. Leads effort to develop optimal crude slate and production plan based on economic and operational constraints. Initiates and/or performs ad-hoc LP runs to evaluate re-optimization opportunities. Leads effort to optimize overall production plan based on long/short opportunities and commercial inputs provided by various traders. Responsibilities also include normal Pilot roles: representing refinery issues and capabilities at the corporate office, coordinating inventory and economic opportunities with the refineries and leading discussions to coordinate or solve conflicts associated with refinery operation.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • College Degree (Bachelors Level) in Chemical Engineering.

The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is:

  • 10 years.

  • Knowledge of Refinery Processes.
  • Experience with Unit Yields, Refinery Supply Chain, Economics, LP Tool, Planning Cycle, Risk Analysis.
  • Adv. Problem Solving-Root Cause Analysis.
  • Adv. Economic Analysis.
  • Facilitation-negotiation skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Job Duties
  1. Lead daily efforts of utilizing optimization tools to look for opportunities to adjust refinery crude slates in response to system or market fluctuations.
  2. Optimize production plan based on long/short opportunities and commercial inputs provided by product and petrochemical traders.
  3. Advise on contingency action to be taken during crude/product supply disruptions (pipelines, refinery issues, etc).
  4. Assist Price Set Manager with development and management of Priced Inventory model & baselines.
  5. Lead efforts associated with Crude & Supply Optimization Profit & Loss (includes maintaining tools necessary for calculating profit & loss, assisting with crude trading profit and loss calculations).
  6. Assist Pilots with monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the performance of each CITGO refinery to maximize refinery contribution. Work with Refinery personnel to clarify adjustments.

location is currently seeking a
Refinery Operator
. The Refinery Operator is responsible for tank re-refinery process operations, recording tank gauge readings and completing tank transfers and other associated paperwork along with assisting other team members when required.

This location operates 12-hour shifts with a rotating day-off schedule. This is a 12-hour night shift role.
