Summary: This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. The position reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made. Responsibilities And Duties: 60% Performs various ultrasound examinations. Subjectively interprets information based on judgmental decisions by Ultrasonographers, requiring in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology. Maintains complete knowledge of wave form physics, i.e., , time gain compensation curves, attenuation factors, etc. , required to set equipment variable properly for appropriate imaging of specific anatomy. Assists Radiologists with performance of invasive procedures. 10% Independently evaluates normal vs. abnormal test results in correlation with patient history, previous examinations, lab results, etc. 10% Independently gives preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians, surgeons, residents, etc. regarding any vascular ultrasound procedures as determined by site accreditation. 10% Teaches/educates imaging students, medical students and residents in basic scanning methods and instrumentation of ultrasound. 10% Maintains equipment and stocks supplies. Performs quality control procedures and maintains documentation. Summary: Supports the curriculum development and maintenance lifecycle for assigned applications including participation in workflow evaluation, development of new curriculum and related documentation (e.g., tip sheets, quick start guides, knowledge articles). Summary: The Procedural Care Unit sees an average of 55 cases daily, offering a fast-paced environment. PCU provides care both before and after procedures for Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular labs. Procedures include TAVR's, ablations, biopsies, catheterizations and more. PCU is an outpatient/closed unit, there are no floating requirements. Day shift holiday requirement: Either one working holiday or one on call shift. Weekend: One 12 hour shift every 8 weeks required, either Saturday or Sunday Scheduling: 8 week set/repeating schedule allowing you to know your schedule for a better work life balance. On call: You will be placed on call one weekend from 7a-7p one to two times yearly. ED, ICU, or cardiac/intermediate experience preferred. Mammographers are responsible for producing good quality exams in a timely manner while practicing good patient care and maintaining accurate patient records. The position assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards. This position is part-time (24 hours/week) at the Delaware Medical Campus. Responsibilities And Duties: 75% Conducts Mammograms; Escorts patient to the room, completes proper documentation, and explains procedure to patient prior to mammogram procedure. Takes images for interpretation. Verifies images are of good technical quality. 15% Assists radiologist with stereotactic biopsy and needle localizations to include: machine calibration, sterile field set-up, explaining procedure to patient, offering consolation and ensuring comfort to the patient during procedure. 10% Performs quality control and assurance practices. Schedules preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment and schedules necessary repairs. Assures all mammography manuals are kept up-to-date. Keeps accurate and current QC logs to document variances, investigates and corrects any abnormal QC occurrences. Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist for the evening shift (four 10-hour shifts). This position is eligible for shift and weekend differential and has a minimal call requirement for night shift coverage. The position prepares patient for testing (including thorough screening questioning), assists the radiologist during testing, operates the MRI equipment for a variety of procedures, maintains supply inventory in assigned rooms, and covers call duty, as assigned. Responsibilities And Duties: Operates MRI equipment, including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment.
