This position reports to the Accounting Manager and will assist in preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and other month end close related items for multiple senior living communities. The ideal candidate excels at organization, planning, and multi-tasking. This position requires an individual who can prioritize a diverse array of projects and deadlines, while taking direction from and working alongside various accountants and managers. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Prepare journal entries
* Prepare reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
* Create financial statements and distribute to various parties
* Perform variance analysis
* File sales tax and use tax
* Ensure property tax payments are made timely
* Prepare rollforwards and other similar support schedules
* Coordinate with community personnel for monthly accruals
* Assist community personnel with preparation of annual budgets
* Review invoice GL coding
* Assist in improving and documenting processes
* Provide support for annual audits

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
* Working knowledge of US GAAP
* Excellent excel skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals across the organization
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Desire to learn on the job and grow as a professional
