About Verde

Sam and Jennifer Ferrebee looked around the Charleston culinary scene and realized that there was no place to get healthy food fast. They set out with a goal of creating a restaurant that serves healthy, wholesome, locally sourced, made-to-order, made from scratch, food available in a quick service style.

Founded in Charleston, SC they opened their first restaurant on King Street in 2011. Verde has grown to 4 restaurants in the greater Charleston area plus 1 in Columbia, SC; a booming Catering & Events division, and a production kitchen commissary.

Healthy ingredients are the foundation of Verde’s menu items. You’ll never find preservatives or GMOs at Verde. From our cravable salad dressings, hearty soups, varied protein options, and even our ever popular cookies, everything is made from scratch in Verde’s own commissary kitchen. In addition to sourcing local products, Verde recycles and uses compostable goods to keep our planet healthy . Verde is a generous contributor to area schools, the medical community, first responders, and various non profit organizations to keep our community healthy . It all starts and ends with a healthy corporate culture that provides a work environment that is positive, supportive, team oriented and well trained.
