* Conducts interviews with patients and/or family members.
* Records and maintains complete documentation of activities performed on account while in-house and during the Patient accounting cycle.
* Performs financial clearance function including collections.
* Cancels accounts that have not had any patient cooperation and are not eligible for any programs and prepares accounts for Financial Assistance review.
* Follows up on MECS assigned accounts to ensure follow-through on Government application submitted.
* Develops a working relationship with patients, based on good communication skills, enabling accounts to be processed quickly with government program eligibility.
* Conducts field visits to patient homes for skiptracing and or assisting patient with documents.

* Grant Project Proposal Assistance:
* As the region's expert in the CPG program implementation, works closely with local government officials to provide consultation and technical assistance in developing, improving and negotiating project proposals with measurable outcomes and quarterly spending plans, and applying for Coordinated Prevention Grants consistent with the grant guidelines and local comprehensive solid and hazardous waste management plans.
* Promotes innovation, continued program improvement, and incorporation of sustainable resource management practices supportive of the State Solid Waste Management Plan.
* Grant Administration and Project Management:
* Evaluates applications and plans, negotiates, and develops grant agreements (scopes of work, budgets, and project timelines) with grant recipients.
* Advises recipients on consistency with the agency's _Administrative Requirements for Recipients of Ecology Grants and Loans Manual_ (yellow book), _Coordinated Prevention Grant Guidelines_, regulations, Ecology's Administration of Grants & Loans (EAGL), and program policies.
* Oversees development, reviews and approves plans, reports, and other documents related to the implementation of grant projects.
* Conducts site visits and provides consultation on how to optimize solid waste implementation and enforcement projects to assure project success and cost effectiveness.
* Tracks progress reports, task completion and spending under grants and amends grant agreements as appropriate.
* Tracks and approves data entry into EAGL by grant recipients and provides training and assistance if required to assure complete and quality data entry.
* Reviews and processes requests for reimbursement including checking for eligibility, supporting documentation and compliance with terms of the grant agreement, approved spending plans, and project progress reports.
* Assures grants are closed out in a timely manner, disposition of large equipment purchases has been implemented and prepares a final report summarizing the work completed and money spent under each grant agreement.
* Grant Program Coordination:
* Plans and conducts statewide and local special training events to grant recipients relating to program updates and administration of CPG grants.
* Coordinates with section staff regarding solid waste related grant issues of mutual interest.
* Fully participates in CPG Job
* Alike Group meetings and conference calls and LEAN events.
* Reviews and provides comments and recommendations to the Statewide CPG Coordinator regarding program policy, direction and development, and on updates of guidelines, forms and other statewide program documents.
* Communicates with regional grant recipients and brings local government interests, concerns and perspectives to statewide issue discussions and processes
