What is a regional technology manager and how to become one
A regional technology manager ensures the efficiency and stability of the information technology operations of an organization. They are assigned to supervise IT personnel in a specific geographic area and ensure that the systems adhere to the business goals and guidelines.
Their responsibilities include assessing system performance, developing strategies, and formulating technical solutions to improve and maintain the organization's systems, network connectivity, and communications. They coordinate with the department's director and staff when setting project scopes, following timelines, estimating costs, and allocating budgets and resources.
To confirm that the systems are protected and running smoothly, the regional technology manager makes sure that upgrades and backups for servers and software and hardware systems are in place. They also serve as mentors and evaluators for new IT recruits.
