Position Summary We are seeking a purpose-driven and collaborative Chief Operating Officer Regional West Health Services Physician Clinic (Medical Group) to lead and align operations across Regional West Physicians Clinic, our multispecialty clinic enterprise. This is a rare opportunity to bring strategic insight, operational focus, and principled, people-centered leadership to a dedicated provider team in a rural setting. You'll guide day-to-day clinic operations in alignment with Regional West Physicians Clinic priorities, align with system strategy, and help foster a high-performing, mission-connected culture-ensuring that every decision made supports patients, teams, and long-term success. How You'll Contribute Lead operations for a diverse network of physician clinics in western Nebraska Drive access, quality, and consistency across multi-site practices Strengthen provider alignment and improve practice performance Partner with senior leadership to ensure strategic and financial alignment Foster engagement across clinic staff and providers to ensure collaboration, service excellence, and accountability Oversee budgets and resource allocation with a focus on stewardship and sustainability Support a culture of shared success through leadership visibility, responsiveness, and trust-building Lead strategic planning and implementation efforts for new and expanding projects within RWHS's primary and secondary service areas. Engage regularly with leaders of critical access hospitals and key community representatives to foster collaboration, enhance program development, and strengthen regional partnerships. Oversee and evaluate partnerships with critical access hospitals and area physicians to ensure shared services, new initiatives, and expected outcomes are effectively managed and monitored. Actively participate in the planning and coordinators of RWHS regional services in collaboration wit area critical access hospitals to ensure aligned service delivery and strategic growth. Patients may include total knee and hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac, renal and psychiatric illnesses. The unit's leadership team has more than 95 combined years of orthopedic and med-surg experience. Its leaders take pride in helping staff become the best team members possible by and investing in their growth and development, both professionally and personally. This position is designed for nursing students who are excited to gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Student Nurse Technician will assist in providing high-quality patient care while furthering their own professional development. Shift Details Days or Nights Part-time Required Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age required. Must work 12 hours per week required. Actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required. Successfully completed at least one Pharmacology course and two semesters of Medical Surgical Theory/Clinical courses required. Is active on the Certified Nursing Assistant registry in the state of Nebraska or capable within 30 days of hire required. Is active on the Medication Aide registry in the state of Nebraska or capable within 30 days of hire required. Demonstrated effective communication skills required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). Transition to Registered Nurse Upon program end date, students may only remain in this role for a maximum of 3 months to complete their state licensure. Student Nurse Technicians who successfully complete this program may, upon state Licensure as a Registered Nurse, be offered a nursing role at Nebraska Medicine. Offers are dependent on role availability, student performance during the program, and the student being in good standing Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
