Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening for a Cycle Counter position based in our Chattanooga, TN Plant Facility.
This is a position responsible for performing cycle counts and compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked in the establishment. Research root causes for count discrepancies.
Essential Functions:
* Ensure the integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory via cycle counting and other duties assigned by Supervisor
* Cycle counts the warehouse including all pick and reserve slots for discrepancies and product/packaging integrity issues.
* Research causes of weight variances, receiving issues, and damaged products in the racks from warehouse moves.
* Confirm inventory is properly recorded and verify the count of each pallet.
* Verify the put-away and transfer process performed by the day and night personnel.
* Invoice Shippers Daily
* Confirm shipments and Maintain records for auditing at both facilities
* Enter on excel total sheet for balancing
* If duplicate shipment research and provide information to manager
* Recall shipments back from carriers or pulled before leaving the dock

* Communicate dollars shipped daily to manager

What will you be doing?
* You will build rapport with customers.
* Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
* Help customers with any questions they may have. If you aren't able to answer their question, you will direct them to another team member who can.
* Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
* Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
* This position is applicable to the following departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
