What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field

Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
Licensed or certified, per state requirements.

The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist helps plan, schedule, and coordinate the operations of the clinical nutrition practice and staff. Experienced with the Minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0 Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) scheduled assessment completion and documentation requirements.

Assists with the team's QAPI program by executing audits and adhering to the established standards and goals for Clinical Nutrition to maintain high-quality care.

SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF JOB
The Supplemental Clinical Dietitian is responsible for coordinating the delivery of Clinical Dietitian services, including performing professional assessments, nutritional monitoring, and educational aspects of nutritional care for patients aged 18 years and older (exceptions may be made for younger patients under certain circumstances). This position will assist patients in setting and meeting nutritional goals for themselves that will contribute to their gaining maximum independence. This position is a PRN position that will provide coverage for the Lead Clinical Dietitian when they are on leave.

Assesses and evaluates the nutritional status of patients as ordered. These assessments will be clearly communicated and documented for the care team.
