Qualifications:

As a Long-Term Care consulting RegisteredDietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You share your dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff as well as assisting with policy development. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team-including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and physicians-to provide integrated support

About You
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field from an accredited college or university
Current, unencumbered license as a RegisteredDietitian in the state of practice
Strong communication skills and the ability to educate and counsel patients and families in a sensitive, supportive manner
Previous experience working with terminally ill or geriatric patients is preferred
Preferred Experience:
At least one year of experience in a hospice, palliative care, or clinical nutrition setting
Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams in a healthcare environment
Familiarity with special diets related to chronic illness, dysphagia, or end-of-life care

As a Long-Term Care consulting RegisteredDietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager.
