The Chicago Sky is seeking a RegisteredDietitian Consultant to provide expert nutrition support for our athletes throughout the season. The ideal candidate is an experienced performance nutrition professional who can translate science into practical, individualized strategies that enhance health, recovery, and on-court performance. The Performance Dietitian will function as a member of the team's performance and medical staff, collaborating closely with the Director of High Performance, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and performance chefs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Player Support & Individual Services
Deliver individualized nutrition consultations focused on fueling, hydration, recovery, and performance optimization.
Create personalized nutrition plans for training phases, game days, travel, and return-to-play programs.
Support body composition strategies through safe, ethical monitoring and communication (as appropriate and with player consent).
Manage player dietary restrictions, food allergies, and intolerances to ensure safe and appropriate meal planning.
Team Nutrition Operations
Develop and implement team-wide fueling and hydration strategies for practices, games, and travel.
Assist in planning and execution of pre-season, in-season, and off-season screenings, testing, and examinations.
Build and maintain performance-focused menus with chefs, hotel partners, and catering vendors.
Coordinate all travel meal logistics-including snacks, hydration solutions, room drops, and post-game fueling.
Order, stock, organize, and pack all nutrition supplies for home, practice, and travel environments.
Maintain and oversee supplement protocols, ensuring all products are NSF Certified for Sport or meet league safety standards.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Work closely with medical, performance, and coaching staff to align nutrition with strength training, recovery, sports science, and rehabilitation strategies.
Participate in regular performance team meetings to integrate nutrition insights into holistic care plans
Provide targeted fueling plans for injured athletes to support tissue healing, weight management, and rehab milestones.
Education & Communication
Educate players and staff on best practices in sports nutrition, hydration, recovery, and supplement safety.
Provide ongoing education on travel nutrition, sleep-supportive fueling strategies, and heat/hydration readiness.
Track relevant nutrition metrics (hydration testing, weigh-ins, fueling logs) and communicate key findings to staff when appropriate.
Compliance & Professional Standards
Maintain all required licensure and certification as a RegisteredDietitian.
Comply with WNBA protocols, documentation standards, and organizational policies.
Follow all HIPAA, WNBA, and team confidentiality standards regarding player health and performance information.
Maintain a consistent professional presence, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and extensive travel.
Other Responsibilities
Support off-season remote check-ins and individualized summer fueling plans.
Participate in community initiatives or media opportunities related to health and wellness (as needed).
Other duties as assigned and mutually agreed upon.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
RegisteredDietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.
Minimum 3 years of experience in collegiate, professional, or elite sports settings.
Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
Deep understanding of the female athlete and professional basketball environment.
Preferred
CSSD (Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics) credential.
Experience with WNBA, NBA, or high-level women's basketball.

General Summary:

Essential Job Functions:
Patient Care
Evaluates patients' nutritional status by reviewing pertinent information obtained from the medical record, the patient/family, the medical team, external agencies, and medical rounds.
Completes nutrition-focused physical exams when appropriate to further assess nutritional status.
Evaluates and assesses patient response to specialized diet therapy through direct interview; calculating nutrient intake; monitoring growth trends, pertinent lab values, and tolerance of oral, enteral or parenteral feedings.
Makes appropriate recommendations to the clinical team members regarding the nutritional management of the patients.
Enters nutrition-related orders, with confirmation by the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), such as therapeutic diets, nutrition supplements, and enteral nutrition.
Provides parenteral nutrition recommendations for ordering by LIP. Reviews LIP orders as appropriate and recommends orders for enteral and parenteral feeding regimens as necessary.
Collaborates with the clinical team, patient and their family, to develop a specialized nutrition care plan for the patient.
Assists with discharge planning and possible arrangements for home care services.
Provides extensive nutrition counseling to patients and their caregivers regarding specialty diet needs and issues relating to nutritional status.
Documents all pertinent information in the Medical Record in accordance to policies and procedures.
Provides outpatient nutrition counseling in the clinic setting.
Nutrition Education/Clinical Inquiry:
Integrates evidenced-based guidelines into clinical practice.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in clinical nutrition and specialty area in order to enhance professional expertise by attending professional meetings, reading appropriate journals, etc.

Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a RegisteredDietitian Health Care Facility Surveyor to fill an opening with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company and will work in a technically exciting environment supporting internal and external customers nationwide.
Requirements
Must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dietetics
Must have successfully completed CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve the residents of long-term care facilities.
Must maintain current licensure to practice as a RegisteredDietitian
Demonstrated history of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
Ability to set priorities independently and collectively in performing survey tasks.
Ability to openly discuss conflicts/controversy, and to seek assistance when appropriate to make decisions and resolve conflicts.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis is required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTEREDDIETITIAN (RD)
As a Long-Term Care consulting RegisteredDietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You share your dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff as well as assisting with policy development. It is also your responsibility to monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems. You feel great knowing that your work makes a difference in the lives of the seniors you serve!
QUALIFICATIONS
Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
Licensed (if required by State)
2 years of consulting experience is preferred, but we will consider many factors. Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required. Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Do you have solid interpersonal and communication skills? Can you represent our company in a professional manner? Do you enjoy coaching and mentoring others?
