Job Responsibilities
Plans menus in accordance with LifeWorks guidelines.
Visits location cafes on a regular basis.
Supports the maintenance of recipe development, menu production, and foodservice management standards.
Supports nutrient analysis for all food items served.
Educates clients and consumers, regarding healthy food choices through school training and community outreach.
Assists with new employee training.
Works with management and supervisors to ensure delivery of quality food services.

Qualifications

As a Long-Term Care consulting RegisteredDietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You share your dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff as well as assisting with policy development. QUALIFICATIONS
Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Plan, implement and evaluate the diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy program.
* Provide nutritional therapy, education and support to patients with diabetes, prediabetes, and related conditions, both one-to-one and in groups.
* Provide preventive nutritional therapy and education to adults and children who are overweight or obese, both one-to-one and in groups.
* Work with the Diabetes Program Team to develop and deliver culturally appropriate educational content and materials about diabetes and diabetes prevention, which are focused on nutrition and healthy living.
* Review, evaluate and monitor the Nutrition Therapy and Education for Diabetes and related conditions at the site, including outreach, attendance, curriculum development, wellness activities, data collection, and reporting.

The Dietitian provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) across diverse patient populations. • Maintain familiarity with national standards developed by the American Dietetic Association, American Diabetes Association and/or the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
