Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for monitoring the patient's physiological status in the immediate postoperative period. Communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management. Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.

years of ICU/CCU/ED experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements
Valid and clean Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant certified to work in California.
Must hold active BLS/ ACLS certification.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certified (FNP-C) (FNP-BC)/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certified.
Must have clean background & clean medical license history.
At least three years of clinical experience as a NP/PA in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
Practice management experience preferred.
Primary Care experience 1-2 years with knowledge of managing blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol.
Urgent Care experience 1-2 years with ability to do COVID testing, Strep Testing, Flu testing if needed.
Diabetes Prevention experience with knowledge of nutrition and diabetes medication.
Must be able to perform phlebotomy.
Must be proficient with computers, customer service‑oriented, and able to work independently.
Ability to work independently with good bedside manner.
Patient education driven.
Must be able to reliably commute to San Francisco, CA 94105.

Records and reports all information within scope and per facility protocol

All 890 and AP clients are supported by an interdisciplinary team of SUD and behavioral health professionals who provide counseling, education, and skills training, in addition to individual and group therapy, for 90 days (or longer based on medical necessity). Our goal is that our clients complete their program with the resources and skills necessary for recovery and are prepared to work independently on the Health & Wellness goals they define for themselves.
The On-call RegisteredNurse (On-Call RN) carefully assesses and evaluates the medical management of clients engaged in social model detoxification services. These interventions may include, but are not limited to, inductions of MAT treatment plans; vital sign monitoring; and triage of acute complaints. They liaise and coordinate care with prescribing providers, the Addiction Medicine Medical Director, and/or other stakeholders in the clients care as needed. This position acts as a resource for unit staff and may lead teams consisting of licensed nurses, licensed psychiatric technicians, and/or medical assistants. The On-Call RN may participate in the ongoing training of licensed and unlicensed Detox staff and their duties via quarterly skills checks. The On-Call RN may delegate according to the regulations of California's Nursing Practice Act.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for documenting interventions and evaluations in the electronic health record and in compliance with Drug Medi-Cal requirements, such as medical necessity of WM services.
Participate in environment of care interventions such as medication control, storage, and disposal in the milieu; basic safety precautions in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act; and in the containment and cleanup of biohazardous waste, utilizing appropriate PPE and supplies, as needed.
Nursing Responsibilities:
Monitors patient medication use and helps to mitigate risk to patient by flagging high dose medications, and potential medication interactions to the prescribing provider and Director of Addiction Medicine.
Triages and provides complex care coordination for all clients accessing healthcare services internal and external to HealthRIGHT.

The CN II level is the journey level class where incumbents have had the required professional nursing experience and are capable of independently performing the full range of clinical nursing services involving patient care. **DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** NOTE:The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Accompanies, assists, and represents the needs of patients to other providers.
2. Accurately provide care with respect to medication administration, skin and woundcare, ADL's and other essential patient care related activities.

6. Organizes, supervises, makes adjustments and accepts responsibility for the quality of care provided patients by co-workers for a given work period; at the level II assumes responsibility as a team leader or a charge nurse when assigned.
7. Participates in promoting a healthful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patient andfamilies; set up and controls the environment essential for infection control.
8. Participates in the implementation of patient care standards, infection control standardsand quality assurance criteria; assist with conducting studies; participates in unit and other meetings.
9. Provides and evaluates patient care established standards and criteria in conformity with the nursing care plan. Monitors patients for significant and critical changes and initiates procedures as required; documents care given according to set standards and at required intervals. Interprets and explains procedures, regimens, and services to patients and families; teaches patients and family members health care and disease prevention techniques. Prepares patients and/or area for procedures and operations; assists physicians; uses instruments and equipment related to the area of assignment.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Education:Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum Experience:Six months experience as a Clinical Nurse I with AHS or the equivalent of one year full time recent experience at a comparable level in a minimum 100-bed hospital or in the area of specialty; (if experience is not recent, completion of an approved refresher course may be acceptable).
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:TNCC -Trauma Nurse Core Course (For Emergency department only).
