Registered health nurse job in Cameron Park, CA
Job Details Cameron Park, CA $130000.00 - $170000.00 Salary/year CorporateDescription
Job Title: Registered Professional Forester (RPF)
Compensation Range: $130,000 - $170,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and travel opportunities
What We Are Looking For
CTL Forestry is seeking a Senior Registered Professional Forester (RPF) to serve as both a technical authority and senior business leader within the company. This role goes beyond traditional forestry - the RPF will play a key role in business development, bidding, submittals, and compliance, while providing leadership and credibility in client and agency engagements.
This position requires someone who can bridge forestry expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring CTL's operations remain compliant, competitive, and efficient. Success in the first 12 months will be measured by the RPF's ability to strengthen CTL's competitive positioning, secure new projects, and drive efficiencies from bid through execution.
What You Will Do
Lead technical oversight for forestry operations while actively supporting bidding, proposal development, and submittals.
Partner with executive leadership on business development efforts, including client meetings, presentations, and scoping of work.
Ensure compliance with all forestry-related regulations, including California Forest Practice Rules, THPs, and exemptions.
Provide technical and strategic input to strengthen CTL's competitive edge in bids and proposals.
Act as the company's technical spokesperson for clients, regulatory agencies, and partners.
Oversee compliance tracking and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in submittals.
Support project teams by translating prescriptions and layouts into clear, efficient plans.
Mentor and develop junior forestry staff to ensure continuity and growth of in-house expertise.
Partner with accounting and operations on project efficiency, cost analysis, and reporting.
Travel as needed to project sites, bid meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
Required Qualifications
Active California RPF license.
Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or related field.
8+ years of forestry experience, with demonstrated success in business development, proposals, or strategic project leadership.
Proven knowledge of California Forest Practice Rules and forestry operations.
Strong background in bidding, proposals, or client-facing technical roles.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to operate at both the field and executive levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and GIS applications (ArcGIS or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in business development or project bidding for forestry or environmental services.
Established relationships with agencies (CalFire, USFS, USACE) or industry partners.
Advanced GIS/data analysis skills.
Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
What to Expect
As a Senior RPF with CTL Forestry, you will play a dual role:
Technical Expert → providing oversight, compliance, and forestry leadership.
Business Leader → driving bids, submittals, and business development opportunities.
This is not a typical forester position - it's a rare opportunity for someone with the right skillset to influence both day-to-day forestry operations and the long-term growth of the company.
Physical Requirements and Environment
Must be able to work in both office and field environments.
Ability to travel to project sites, bid meetings, and stakeholder locations.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in variable conditions.
Commitment to following all safety and compliance protocols.
Why Join CTL Forestry?
At CTL Forestry, you won't just have a job-you'll have a mission. Your expertise will directly impact how we win projects, deliver results, and protect communities through responsible forest management.
We offer:
A collaborative, mission-driven culture.
Opportunities to influence both operations and business development.
