Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Women's Health to join our care team. This role provides specialized nursing care to women throughout their reproductive life cycle, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological care. The RN works closely with Ob/Gyn physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure the health and well-being of patients in a non-hospital setting. Responsibilities include managing routine and high-risk cases, handling abnormal results, performing triage, coordinating care across multiple clinic sites, and supporting quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
Travel between multiple women's health clinic sites to provide comprehensive nursing care
Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans
Review and manage abnormal test results; notify patients and coordinate follow-up care
Provide detailed explanations of abnormal results and guide patients on next steps
Perform triage assessments for urgent or emergent concerns, prioritizing care appropriately
Recognize and respond to obstetric and gynecological emergencies with provider notification
Coordinate with obstetric teams to ensure pre-procedure requirements are met
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as ordered by providers
Assist with gynecological exams, prenatal care, and office-based procedures
Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, pregnancy, postpartum care, and preventive health measures
Coordinate workflow of medical assistants to ensure efficient clinic operations
Facilitate communication among healthcare team members to promote collaborative care
Manage patient scheduling, follow-ups, and care coordination across sites
Maintain accurate records and adherence to clinic policies and procedures
Assist with supply and equipment maintenance at all locations
Participate in patient education programs and community outreach
Maintain proper tracking and reporting of OB patients

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Nurse Corps Officers may serve at any one of more than 250 Navy and medical facilities around the globe, from Hawaii to Japan, Germany to Guam and Washington, D.C., to Washington state. As a Navy Nurse, you could work at one of the highly acclaimed National Naval Medical Centers in Bethesda, MD, Portsmouth, VA or San Diego, CA. Or you could provide medical support aboard one of two dedicated hospital shipsthe USNS Comfort and USNS Mercy. Additional opportunities are available on surface ships, with aircraft squadrons or even with the Fleet Marine Force.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Perform triage assessments for urgent or emergent concerns, prioritizing care appropriately
Recognize and respond to obstetric and gynecological emergencies with provider notification
Coordinate with obstetric teams to ensure pre-procedure requirements are met
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as ordered by providers
Assist with gynecological exams, prenatal care, and office-based procedures
Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, pregnancy, postpartum care, and preventive health measures
Coordinate workflow of medical assistants to ensure efficient clinic operations
Facilitate communication among healthcare team members to promote collaborative care
Manage patient scheduling, follow-ups, and care coordination across sites
Maintain accurate records and adherence to clinic policies and procedures
Assist with supply and equipment maintenance at all locations

Qualifications
