You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
How you will contribute
You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
What you bring to Takeda:
High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RegisteredNurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

$33.60 - $46.20
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. Has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-specific structured care methodologies, such as protocols/integrated clinical pathways/guidelines/standards of care relating to the overall health care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients/residents. Interviews potential residents and assesses residents in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure. Uses assessment information for admission and continued stay in the hospice community. Establishes a service plan for each resident and evaluates on an on-going basis. Ability to communicate with patients/residents, family members and others on the health care team.
Must demonstrate independence, assertiveness and critical thinking when working with patients and co-workers. Ability to document clearly. Ability to solve problems. Self-motivated. Works with little direction. Ability to incorporate teaching/learning principles and adapt teaching to age group. Ability to facilitate groups and implement projects when necessary. Must be able to establish priorities, have strong flexibility and organizational skills. Must be knowledgeable about reimbursement for services provided.
Will be required to work primarily day hours, scheduled weekends, and occasional evenings. May be exposed to communicable or infectious disease, hazardous materials and injury from performance of assigned duties. Is subject to multiple sensory and environmental stressors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred.

The **RN Clinical Operations Manager** coordinates and oversees all direct care patient services provided by clinical personnel. This role is a focused on both home health clinical quality assurance and home health clinical operations initiatives.

+ Conducts/delegates the assessment and reassessment of patients, including updating of care plans and interpreting patient needs, while adhering to Company, physician, and/or health facility procedures/policies.
+ Manages the assignment of caregivers.
+ Responsible for and oversees the delivery of care to all patients served by the location. Receives case referrals. Reviews available patient information related to the case, including disciplines required, to determine home health or hospice needs. Accountable to ensure patients meet admission criteria and make the decision to admit patients to service. Assigns appropriate clinicians to a case, as needed.
+ Instructs and guides clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services and is available at all times during operating hours to assist clinicians as appropriate.
+ Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, in setting priorities, and in developing patient Plan of Care (POC).
+ Monitors cases to ensure documentation is following compliance with regulatory agencies and requirements of third-party payers. Ensures final audits/billing are completed timely and in compliance with Medicare regulations.
+ Coordinates communication between team members/attending physicians/caregivers to ensure the appropriateness of care and outcome planning.
+ Works in conjunction with the Branch Director and Company Finance Department to establish location's revenue and budget goals.
+ Participates in sales and marketing initiatives.
+ Supervises all clinical employees assigned to a specific location. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
+ Handles necessary employee corrective action and discipline issues fairly and objectively, in consultation with the Human Resources Department and the Executive Director/Director of Operations.
+ Participates in the interviewing, hiring, training, and development of direct care clinicians. Evaluates their performance relative to job goals and requirements. Coaches staff and recommends in-service education programs, when needed. Ensures adherence to internal policies and standards.
+ Assesses staff education needs based on own the review of clinical documentation in addition to feedback and recommendations by Utilization Review staff. Upon completion of the assessment, creates and conducts regular staff education as needed.
+ Analyzes situations, identifies problems, identifies and evaluates alternative courses of action through the utilization of Performance Improvement principles.
+ Responsible for review of the appropriate number of CaseManagers and clinical staff documentation to include starts-of-care, resumption-of-cares, and re-certifications, for appropriateness of care, delivery, and documentation requirements.
+ Responsible for the QA/PI activities. Works with Utilization Review staff relative to data tracking for performance review and outcomes of care analysis to determine efficiency, the efficacy of casemanagement system as well as any other systems and process. Competently performs patient care assignments and staff management activities.
+ Provides direct patient care on an infrequent basis and only in times of emergency.
+ Acts as Branch Director in his/her absence.
+ Interprets Company standards and Company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external regulatory authorities and ensures that caregiver clinical documentation meets internal standards.

**Required Experience/Skills:**

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a ND or compact RN license, with three years of recent experience and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
• Position is in an acute care hospital on a Labor & Delivery unit
• Patient population includes high-risk labor and delivery patients, postpartum mothers and babies, and gynecologic surgical postop patients
• Unit has 19 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 for mom/baby couplets, and up to 1:5-6 for combinations including GYN patients
• Uses fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital signs monitors, OBIX documentation, centralized monitoring for L&D, and EPIC EMR for gyn cases
• Assigned to 12-hour straight night shifts with some day shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage required
• Floating to newborn nursery and NICU may be required
• Provide care for laboring patients, assist with deliveries including high-risk cases, and deliver postpartum mom and baby care
• Care for gynecologic surgical postop patients as needed
• Team-oriented environment with 36 hours of unit orientation for travelers
• Dress code is navy blue scrubs for gyn and mom/baby care or hospital-provided scrubs for L&D
• Navy blue scrubs required outside of L&D
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Not accepting local travelers with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have a 6-month break in service prior to consideration
Requirements
• Active ND or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 3 years of L&D, postpartum, and gynecology nursing experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Proficiency with fetal monitoring required
• Experience using EPIC EMR and OBIX documentation system preferred
• STABLE certification preferred but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Nurse Corps Officers may serve at any one of more than 250 Navy and medical facilities around the globe, from Hawaii to Japan, Germany to Guam and Washington, D.C., to Washington state.
