Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team - consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients

-Serves as a resource for health care team, participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned.
-Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections.

EMR: Meditech
Credentials required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Must Have: Experience with CABG, heart valve repair or replacement, aortic reconstruction, acute myocardial infarction, acute decompensated heart failure, cardiogenic shock severe arrythmias, cardiac infections like myocarditis and pericarditis, complex vascular conditions, such as aortic dissection. IABP/impella experience.
Years' Experience: 2 years
Floating Areas: To like units
Weekends and On Call (if any):3 12hr shifts with 3 weekend shift commitment per month

Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s) with twenty-four (24) hour accountability.
Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs. Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.
What qualifications you will need:
At least 5 years of RECENT (Within the last year) as a manager or director in a large hospital - experience in Women Services. Needs experience with at least 3500 births a year in a high acuity facility.
· Education: BSN is Required
· Licensure/Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
· Certification in area of specialty preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.
· Ability to achieve and then maintain BCLS certification is required.
