A typical day as a Registered Nurse at the Annex provides an opportunity to provide assessments, patient care, counseling, referrals, and supporting care in clinics and community settings. Providing triage and nursing care based on standing orders and clinic protocols, including performing phone triage and following up as needed. Offering all-options pregnancy counseling and making referrals to prenatal care, abortion care, or adoption resources as indicated. Assisting Nurse Practitioners with patient care and procedures, while documenting services provided in the patient's record. Communicating abnormal test results and developing follow-up plans with patients. Traveling and providing RN services at off-site, community-based locations. Who You Are You are a Registered Nurse with a current Minnesota license, a valid driver's license, and daily access to reliable transportation to attend meetings and visit community sites in North Minneapolis. You can work sensitively and competently with diverse populations. You have experience providing reproductive health care, adolescent health care, and/or transgender health care. You possess the ability to work independently, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication. You can lift and carry up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. You ensure client confidentiality, maintain HIPAA compliance, and exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing your duties.
