JOB SUMMARY
The RegisteredNurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the emergency room. Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Assists physicians during examinations and emergency procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary.
Working in conjunction with the Emergency Department Director and Clinical Care Supervisor, the RN assesses, plans, implements and collaborates with other departments to ensure excellence in patient and family care, reflective of CCMH mission, vision and values. The RN will integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum. He/She may coordinate and delegate unit and patient care activities, as appropriate, to other health care providers. The RN practices within the framework of the WyomingNurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association professional standards, National Patient Safety Goals, and the Emergency Nurses Association Standards
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Performs patient assessment and documents in patient record.
Develops an age appropriate plan of care, which addresses physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs, in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
Implements the plan of care, delegates appropriately and ensures documentation of interventions.
Evaluates progress towards desired outcomes, revises plan of care and intervenes as necessary.
Educates patient and families regarding current health status, plan of care, and anticipated outcomes.
Provides service excellence to all customers.
Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills.
Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education.
Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Actively participates in hospital committees, CQI teams, and Quality Improvement Program.
Maintains a clean and safe environment.
May be required to work on other nursing units according to distribution of staff and patients.
Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.

L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of a baby. L&D RNs must ensure that the medical as well as emotional needs of their patients are met at all times throughout the birthing process. As an L&D RN, you'll be responsible for assisting physicians when epidurals or pain medications are administered, episiotomies are performed, or when the patient requires preparation for a cesarean delivery.
As an L&D Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after birthing process.
Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
Immediate care of newborn.
L&D Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, L&D RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

JOB SUMMARY
The Home Health RegisteredNurse delivers high-quality, patient- and family-centered care in alignment with CCH's mission, vision, and values. As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, as well as providing pre- and post-surgery care and education to the patient. Surgery responsibilities may include preparing instruments for specific surgical procedures, monitoring and observing the patient during surgery, and responding to potential complications alongside the physician.
As an OR Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care.
Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Serve as the communication liaison between patients' family members and members of the operating team.
Ensure that the correct procedure(s) is being performed on the correct patient.
Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician; teach patients and families how to manage medication and home care needs.
Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses may include:
Responding to comfort and safety needs of patient.
Accurate care and handling of specimens.
Monitoring equipment used during surgery.
Inventory of surgical items pre- and post-procedure.
Additional duties for Scrub OR Nurses may include:
Selection and handling of surgical instruments and supplies during procedures.

Additional duties for RN First Assistant may include:
Assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care.
Help control bleeding.
