The Cedars-Sinai Bronchoscopy Laboratory provides both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as flexible bronchoscopy with or without biopsy; with navigation; with cryotherapy; with or without stent; and with photodynamic therapy. It also provides bronchoscopy with laser resection right heart catherization with fluoroscopy, thoracentesis and whole lung lavage. **Summary of** **Essential** **Duties:** Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in a variety of healthcare settings Observes signs and symptoms of illness, reaction to medication/treatments, general behavior and/or general physical condition. Administers medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or LIP Provides and accurately documents direct and indirect patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner Demonstrates knowledge and is able to identify and make special adjustments as required to the specific populations needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family and condition needs Identifies and assesses patient safety concerns with respect to age and developmental considerations. Intervenes to provide a safe environment and evaluates effectiveness of intervention for patient **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required BSN preferred License/Certifications: Current, unrestricted California RN license required ACLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required Experience: A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required 2 + years of Bronchoscopy, Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, CVIC, Interventional Radiology or other procedural experience involving moderate sedation highly preferred Strong IV skills required Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
