Ensures that it is neat and clean and that supplies and equipment are adequate and inventoried regularly. Assists Business Manager or program Bookkeeper with Medicaid and other third party insurance eligibility, claims or billing matters. Maintains good public relations with the medical community and provides liaison between Youth Ranches and doctors, dentists, orthodontists, emergency rooms, pharmacies and other medical providers. Monitors the administration of prescription and over the counter medication by cottage parents, youth care assistants, program leaders or other staff responsible for direct care of youth. This includes monitoring medication logs and following up on prescribed treatments for youth in care, giving regular input to supervisors concerning direct care staff that do not follow protocol or prescribed treatment for youth in their care. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS The person filling this position must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse with the state of Florida. Previous experience in the nursing field, especially with youth is preferred.
