In his role as general counsel and board secretary, Levin led two IPOs, the sale of a $1.2 billion television station group, and helped take Clear Channel private in a $24 billion leverage buy-out, then the third largest of its kind in history.Prior to joining Relativity Media, Levin was a senior executive with T-Mobile, where he led all U.S. federal and state government relations, representing T-Mobile’s interests before Congress, the Federal Communications Commission and Department of Justice, as well as other government agencies. Levin is knowledgeable across a diverse array of media, entertainment and technology businesses, including wireless and wireline telecom, film, television & radio, outdoor advertising, and live entertainment.Earlier in his career, Levin worked for many years as a director of corporate finance for Verizon. He left Verizon to go to work on the political front for the U.S. House of Representatives, and helped write legislation that continues to have a significant impact on the media and telecommunications businesses today, including the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. He is widely recognized as an expert on the business and public policy issues affecting media, entertainment, and technology companies.

Prior to working at Loeb, Shamo represented banks and other lenders in commercial and corporate finance matters at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. Before his tenure at Paul Hastings, Shamo maintained a bankruptcy practice at Danning, Gill, Diamond & Kollitz. He began his career with a litigation practice at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton. Shamo graduated with distinction with a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. He earned his juris doctor at the University of Southern California, where he was a notes editor for the Southern California Law Review.
