This Kubernetes Site Reliability Engineer position will design and provision infrastructure supporting cloud native applications alongside a geographically distributed team. Emphasis will be on container strategies and ecosystem (Kubernetes) supporting Ford's rapidly increasing data and compute requirements. The Nanushuk field, which is located adjacent to several giant producing oil fields, was discovered in 2013. 19 exploration and appraisal wells have been drilled in the field, which, combined with full coverage of 3D seismic data, have delineated a giant oil resource. Santos Alaska expects that the initial development will target approximately 500 million barrels of oil in the field, with first production anticipated in 2026 and plateau production rates of 80,000 BOPD (gross). 19 Development wells have also been drilled with 15 frac'd and 13 flowed back and analysed. This data has been key in supporting and updating initial production forecasts. Post Description: Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Process Engineer will provide technical input into several areas of project design and review. Responsibilities will include both direct engineering work, as well as guiding consultants and team members in various aspects of the project. Work subject matter will include, but not limited to capacity in engineering, project management and feasibility, and construction planning. The successful candidate will participate in upstream communication of design progress and updates to Donlin management and JV partners. Key Responsibilities: Lead and complete process engineering components for scoping, prefeasibility, and feasibility studies. Understand project requirements related to scope, cost, and schedule. Coordinate and guide the process engineering team to deliver project objectives. Coordinate and assist with interpreting, clarifying and implementing engineering and design information for technical issues. Develop process engineering deliverables, including test work definitions, design criteria, mass & energy balances, etc. Define the process block flow diagram and unit operations. Liaising with other discipline engineers to ensure designs conform to process requirements. Undertake tradeoff studies to resolve options. Interface and coordinate with other technology subject matter experts (SMEs), external consultants and technology vendors for input to the process design. Identify, scope and manage process test work (on site or laboratory based). Oversee the development and implementation of process technology. Experience in Gold and precious metal sulfide flotation with refractory gold preferred. Technical knowledge of engineering systems, calculations, and application of engineering methods. Hazard identification and management processes such as HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA. Good working knowledge of computer-aided design tools and simulation programs. Minimum of 15+ years of experience in design, engineering, commissioning, and operation of minerals processing equipment. Leadership experience in technical management. Experience in scoping and managing metallurgical test work programs. Experience in engineering planning for studies and projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands. Strong written and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Professional Engineer or Qualified Person per SEC requirements. Strong understanding of both organic and inorganic chemistry.
