Our client is seeking a Lead System Safety Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL on the NASA Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services Program. The qualified applicant will cover Safety engineering and analysis on a wide variety of projects and programs, from aerospace and DOD/Military Hardware to commercial products.
Position Description:
With minimal direction, performs most tasks necessary to ensure the identification Safety Critical Items and documentation of hazards within systems using various analysis tools and techniques. Understands the basic elements of system safety engineering to include hazard analyses, hazard categorization, end effects, causal analyses, mitigation requirements identification, documentation, tracking and implementing, and residual risk assessment.
Typical analyses performed include but are not limited to: Fault Tree Analyses, Hazard Analyses, hazard mitigation, Safety risk assessments, and system residual risk assessments.
• Reviews product systems, associated support equipment and facilities, functional specifications and operations, and establishes safety requirements for assigned systems
• Develops safety documents as required to support customer and test, operational, or range requirements
• Participates in accident investigations involving damage to products or related facilities and assists in identification of causes and corrective actions
• Performs audits of operational areas and reports effectiveness of the System Safety program
• Performs minimal safety program management tasks including progress reports and tracking schedules

Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Strong process improvement background, including PFMEA, control plans, RCCA (8D), CAR/CAPA, DOE, gage R&R, PPAP, engineering drawing, GD&T, product failure analysis and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently without supervision.
Demonstrated Black Belt knowledge; experience with Six Sigma methods/tools and experience in Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

Your Opportunity as a Process Engineer The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, increase throughput, and improve product quality. Support and maintain MES and control systems. Ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards, as well as collaborating with other departments to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop technical mastery of the core production processes to deliver critical results.
* Identify process improvements while interfacing with department managers and technicians to deliver effective initiatives.
* Support, and maintenance of MES (Proficy) systems, including applications, screens, and databases.
* Support and configure control systems.
* Provide ongoing maintenance and support for plant electrical and control systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
* Partner with technicians on corrective actions, implementations, and own and sustain results.
* Model key safety and quality expectations related to plant operations and measure impact on processes.
* Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts in support of our High-Performance Organization (HPO) culture.

* Support startups for new product initiatives and capital projects

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Process Engineer to assist with setting up our new warehouse. This is a Temporary 4-6 month assignment located in Madison, AL
Responsibilities:
Create process requirement and efficient materials flows for our warehouse layout
Develop requirements for parts flow throughout the warehouse
Crate drawings showing process flow of part and forklifts and tuggers
Define and implement improvements based on issues and findings
Support the implementation and optimization of the warehouse - occupancy level, replenishment process, route optimization
Create, review and update work instructions and provide training as needed
Conduct process audits

Requirements:
