SUMMARY: The Reliability Engineer is a key role within the Seaboard Energy Reliability Team. This position is responsible for practical application of codes and recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGAEP) in support of maintenance and capital projects, as well as development and execution of inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance plans for rotating equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the Reliability team and management to develop, implement, and maintain specifications, design best practices and guidelines, and reliability standards for the rotating equipment at all sites. Accountable for the Mechanical Integrity Program for rotating equipment at all sites. Provide technical support in project development, turnaround scope identification, commissioning, start-up and work activities on all equipment upgrades, repairs, and new installations for rotating equipment. Apply engineering theory, practices, and principles to determine root cause failure analysis (RCFA) of equipment failures and performance evaluations of equipment and supporting systems; develop mitigation plans; prioritize and develop action plans for our reliability-centered maintenance system. Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and field data to develop and adjust reliability programs to maximize asset reliability and production availability at the optimum cost of ownership. Respond to site emergencies regarding critical equipment failures when maintenance expertise is not sufficient to address the situation.
