Responsibilities
Improve quality of pager alerts while reducing noise
Maintain awareness of engineering initiatives across the organization and monitor their impact on stability, cost, and performance
Keep infrastructure up-to-date to take advantage of security patches and new features
Improve operational security without sacrificing engineering independence
Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, or related job
Ability to read and understand product code (writing product code is a nice-to-have!)
Familiarity with the state of the art in cloud technologies, including common providers, specific tools of the trade, and their strengths and weaknesses
Experience operating applications and databases with demanding scalability or availability requirements
Proven expertise in modern container orchestration practices (we use Kubernetes on GKE)
A strong understanding of the performance, architecture, tooling, and cost of cloud systems
A security focused mindset with a solid understanding of incident response and risk mitigation
A strong collaborator who is transparent about progress on tasks, seeks feedback early and often, works effectively with the team and customers

Summary
This role will be working within the Iron Mountain Government Services team and requires U.S. Citizenship living on U.S. soil and while active government clearance is not required, the candidate will be required to obtain government clearance to perform this role. We are looking for a talented Systems Engineer who has the experience necessary to help build out our existing infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Responsibilities
Troubleshoot escalated tickets
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to external and internal customers
Join critical incident calls for priority 1 issues as the subject matter expert
Perform on-call duties on a weekly rotation

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related technical discipline required
5+ years of related experience desired
Basic competence with SolidWorks or other mechanical design software
Experience with imaging optical design principles a plus
Experience with Infra optical systems and radiometry a plus
Ability to develop assembly process documentation required
Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel & Outlook required
Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English required
Lean/5S training and experience required
Six sigma green belt desired
Ability to stand for extended periods, often for half of the workday.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, often up to 50 pounds, though the frequency of lifting heavier objects varies.

The salary range for this position is $77,818 to $111,280. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. Job Purpose
As a Manufacturing Engineer, Machine Startup at VulcanForms Inc., your main objective will be to provide technical leadership for the commissioning and Qualification of the 3D Laser printers. This work includes providing documentation and floor support for operations, machine build and engineering. This role will be focused on all aspects of manufacturing operations and qualifying equipment for production use. Additional key purposes of this role include identifying operational opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness and cross functional collaboration to achieve common goals.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Mechanical, Controls, Process Monitoring and Machine Build teams to coordinate work
Complete Installation Qualification protocols and write reports for the latest generation of printers
Identify areas of improvement of the IQ protocols and implement impactful procedural updates to increase impact and efficiency.
Streamline IQ process to ensure process is optimized to bring printers on-line in a timely manner.
Learn to generate toolpaths and run prints independently.
Develop understanding of printer and protocol processes to develop a decision matrix for what to do when a protocol fails.
Develop and execute machine OQ and PQ activities independently.
Write and maintain procedures & checklists for repeatable startup of machines.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity.
Project management of machine qualification aspect of machine builds
Use data-driven root cause and corrective action tool usage to support business goals & objectives.
Ensure the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns and adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
1+ year of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations
Proven ability to develop and implement qualified processes using applicable systems (process failure mode and effect analysis, fault tree analysis, process validation, process planning tools, design of experiments)
Knowledge of Industrial Automation tools like, but not limited to, PLCs, drives, motors, IO modules etc
Experience with vision systems within an automation process
Knowledge of PC based data systems and laser printer systems
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques, Quality Systems, and SPC tools
Preferred
Experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing
Experience qualifying equipment for medical manufacturing
