The Position: We're looking for a Proposal Engineer -- Industrial Automation Systems.
The Proposal Engineer will develop manufacturing processes and solutions for new Automation Systems business. You will collaborate with a team of relevant specialists from Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Site Management and Estimating to create technical proposals which are efficient and competitive in today's marketplace.

Responsibilities:
In this role the ideal candidate will act as a network and think innovatively while executing the following responsibilities:
* Participate in line-up meetings with customers and analyze requests for quote.
* Assess a customer's specification package for correct application of commercial components and desired manufacturing process parameters.
* Process Engineering of automated and manual BIW and general industry assembly systems that require one or any combination of technologies used in modern manufacturing systems. (ie: fastening, resistance welding, riveting, mig welding, clinching, adhesives and sealers in the areas of BIW, Battery Tray assembly & general assembly).
* Utilize man/machine cycle time charts to evaluate and verify systems to ensure process capability. The ability to assess and compile tooling and equipment content.
* Create technical solution, generate presentations & documentation, and review quotation.
* In conjunction with Sales present the technical proposal to the customer.
Do you have what it takes?
This role is best suited for a candidate that possess the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma, GED or the equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years Mechanical System Layout Design, Robotic Process Simulation or Proposal Development of industrial production system automation systems,
* Basic CAD skills and the ability to develop process solutions per customer product decks, create system layouts and process flows.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools.
* Ability and willingness to travel domestically (0 - 20%)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical field
* Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical System Layout Design, Robotic Simulation, Process Engineering or Proposal Development.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* A working knowledge of 3D CAD (i.e. Catia, NX, Solidworks, and/or Fides is a plus).
