Job Summary The Laser Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting laser-based manufacturing processes used in the production of medical devices. This role ensures processes meet quality, safety, and regulatory expectations while driving efficiency, scalability, and innovation across manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Develop, qualify, and optimize laser processes (e.g., laser cutting, welding, marking, drilling, ablation) for medical device components. Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), and technical reports in compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 requirements. Analyze process data to monitor performance, improve yields, and reduce variability through statistical methods and DOE. Job Description Day in the Life Start your day by reviewing incoming requests from JEM associates and prioritizing what needs attention first. You'll join a quick huddle with Operations, then head out on a route that mixes proactive inspections with hands-on fixes across our buildings, utilities, and production support areas. What You'll Tackle Respond promptly to department and individual service requests, exercising sound judgment while representing JEM and the Operations team. Perform routine interior and exterior facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
