Job Description

The Customer Reliability Engineer/Technical Specialist works on-site at a customer facility, participating in activities with the customer to comply with the partnership agreement. Must be willing and able to travel (as needed) to support the customer. The Engineer/Specialist makes independent seal and equipment evaluations, selections and recommends with oversight from the account manager and/or regional engineer. Also, they may lead one or more customer reliability personnel at a customer facility.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required for Customer Reliability Engineer title.
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline preferred for Technical Specialist title.
Minimum 3 years' experience with mechanical seals, rotating equipment and basic engineering principles applied to perform work assignments in addition to PC and software knowledge.
Knowledge of labor reporting, work order variances, QAD, MFG-PRO, SAP, or equivalent
Previous participation in continuous improvement activities including but not limited to Kaizen, SMED, and Lean activities or equivalent.

BLUvera, Mortenson's vertically integrated manufacturing and fabrication affiliate, is looking for a Quality Engineer whose role involves overseeing quality control processes for specific project scopes, collaborating with senior quality managers on larger projects, and managing, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing project quality performance. The Quality Engineer will also lead corrective and preventive actions for their assigned scopes of work.

Job Summary
The Inventory Management System (IMS) team is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Engineer to join our efforts in designing, building, and commissioning high-temperature skids for molten salt systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in process, chemical, and mechanical engineering, with the ability to apply these skills to high-temperature design challenges.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of critical process systems for the Hermes reactor, our first-of-a-kind low-power nuclear demonstration reactor. As a key member of the IMS team, you will assist in designing, commissioning, and operating components to manage and control the reactor's molten salt coolant inventory. The position requires an aptitude for chemical engineering, systems integration, and industrial or pilot-scale system deployment. You will collaborate closely with mechanical design, plant layout, piping, instrumentation, and operations teams to integrate and optimize these systems.
Responsibilities
Support design of high temperature piping loops, vessels, heaters, and instruments to manage the Hermes molten salt coolant inventory.
Perform engineering calculations to support defining hydraulic, thermal, or other design parameters such as pipe size, required pump head, heat loss, hydraulic losses in a pipe loop, etc.
Lead the design and construction of test platforms, including component prototypes, scaled system demonstrations, and engineering studies to inform IMS system design and performance.
Develop and document engineering calculations, technical studies, and design rationale through clear and concise technical reports, memos, and presentations.
Support system commissioning, startup, and operational readiness activities, including procedure development and execution.
Assist with requirements definition, design verification, and validation activities to ensure IMS systems meet functional and regulatory expectations.
Leverage expertise in Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams.
Contribute to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, ensuring robust safety and performance across system interfaces.
Work cross-functionally with mechanical, instrumentation, controls, and operations teams to integrate and optimize IMS designs in alignment with reactor requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience in process/system design or related roles.

Hand and finger dexterity are integral to all positions, with specific activities varying from typing to manipulating maintenance tools or operating keypads, switches, and buttons. The working environments will vary for each Curia position. The employee may be required to work in an office, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
The office environment is designed for comfort and productivity, with room temperature settings maintained for optimal working conditions. It is common to hear conversational noise in the background.
The pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is sterile. Therefore, aseptic gowning is required. Personal protective equipment (nitrile gloves, clean room socks, face-shields, safety glasses, aprons, steel-toed shoes and powered air purifying respirators) is necessary, depending upon the task at hand. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, confined areas, and refrigerator or freezer temperatures when working in a sterile environment.
The warehouse environment is typically set at a controlled temperature but the employee may be exposed to refrigerator or freezer temperatures when retrieving materials.
Some positions may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated heights, airborne particles, electrical activities and vibration. In addition, some positions may work with or be exposed to, compressed gases and must wear ear protection.
All environments may be subject to working with or being exposed to cleaning agents.
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
