Duration: Contract to hire
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:30-5:00. (work 8 hours with 30 min lunch)
Day to Day:
The role is service-oriented, dedicated to maintaining and repairing medical treatment and diagnostic equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Core responsibilities include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, calibration, and electrical safety checks, replacing parts, and troubleshooting or repairing equipment as needed. The position also requires responding promptly to urgent service calls, including STAT emergencies, and managing vendor-issued hazard alerts for medical devices. In addition to technical tasks, strong customer service is essential for supporting clinical staff, and accurate data entry and corrections in the equipment database are a key part of the daily workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety checks per schedule.
Troubleshoot/repair medical devices; respond to STAT calls. How does the STAT emergencies pertain to equipment maintenance.
Process hazard alerts from vendors and remediate affected devices.
Maintain accurate CMMS/database entries; correct data quality issues.
Provide customer service to clinicians; communicate clearly and professionally.
Adhere to regulatory and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
≥ 3 years hospital clinical engineering experience
Or - 6 years - Related experience in lieu of Technical Training/Program
Electronics degree or Biomedical Engineering (strong electronics/service emphasis).
Proven troubleshooting, computer proficiency; networking knowledge

Requirements:
