Afognak Native Corporation has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Specialist (helpdesk) to support our corporate office located in Kodiak, AK. The IT Support Specialist will provide end user technical support for desktop and laptop systems, and associated hardware and software within the organization. This includes but is not limited to operating systems, and desktop applications.
Handle on-site and remote technical issues as needed.
Trouble-shoot network, hardware, software, and application problems.
Responsible for maintaining equipment and replacing non-functional equipment.
Participate in equipment and/or software installations; moves; adds and changes.
Work with other team members on server, client, network, and application-related projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve end-user system issues related to Email and Microsoft TEAMS.
Install and deploy Windows 11 desktop and laptop computers using SCCM, both locally and remotely.
Support the installation and configuration of all end-user software in applicable sites, including many remote offices.
Work with all corporate departments and branch offices to investigate, review needs, obtain price quotes, make recommendations, install, and maintain personal computers and applications.
Assist in providing computer technical support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.
Maintain IT asset inventory.
Provide daily support and technical issues resolution via instant messaging, phone calls, email, and ServiceNow ticketing system.
Installs workstations, laptops, and printers.
Respond in a timely manner to malware incidents, and remediate malware-infected systems.
Demonstrates capacity for prioritization and management in a dynamic environment.
Manage and maintain all onsite audio-visual equipment to include daily testing.
Provide onsite and offsite audio-visual/presentation support for high-profile director meetings.
Provide high-level Board of Director support as needed.
Assist remote offices in troubleshooting Internet and network problems.
Create user Active Directory accounts, Exchange email accounts, and TEAMS accounts.
Add/remove user accounts from security and distribution groups.
Performs other related duties as required.
Lifting up to 75lbs may be required as well as maneuvering under desks and equipment.
Payrate: $24.04 to $28.85 Hourly
Requirements
Strong, technical working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Management preferred, or equivalent work experience may be substituted (at least two (2) to five (5) years).
Must have a strong technical background and a positive attitude.
Must have a willingness to learn new technologies, be a team player, and provide excellent customer service.
Must be self-motivated and be able to work with limited supervision.
Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
Two to five years of technical computer support experience.
Some experience in computer repair.
Experience installing operating systems and applications on desktop and laptop computers.
Knowledge and troubleshooting skills in basic networking, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
Basic understanding of Active Directory a plus.
Office 365 knowledge a plus.
CompTIA A+ certification preferred. Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10 a plus.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft-based computer hardware.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization.
Knowledge of handheld mobile devices such as iPhones, and Android devices.
Strong communication skills, including both verbal and written skills.
SCCM experience preferred.

Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the NAS as an integrated system of the relationship of the parts to the whole and of the capabilities within the NAS to deal with unusual problems or unanticipated air traffic safety issues. Understands how assigned systems, components, and disciplines are integrated with other systems, components, and disciplines. Initiates action to install, repair, or restore systems and services, takes into account the availability of back-up systems, possible reconfigurations to minimize service interruptions, and the relative criticality of particular functions to the safe and efficient operation of the NAS.
Collaborates with system users, planners, engineers, and contractor personnel in the installation and testing of new or modified systems and in identifying needed improvements or enhancements. Develops and recommends methods of enhancing efficiency of systems through modification and application of existing or emerging technology.

+ The CCS shall maintain current certification as a Certified Cloud Security Professional. Possesses the ability to work independently with substantial cloud computing security knowledge.
+ The assessor must have the essential skillsets to identify, manage and resolve cloud computing security risk and implement "best practices" as applied within a cloud environment (across all of the different deployment and service models, and derivatives).

At any point in time, this position may refer patients to any of one of the following positons such as medical providers, PHMNP, BHA, LCSW/LPC, or CDC/Health Coach when patients express readiness and ability to engage.
Assist the BH team to accomplish administrative care coordination tasks for BH (mental health and SUD patients).
Perform other duties as assigned
Be able to travel as needed to other communities including to and from Homer / Seldovia by small airplane and sometimes by boat when airplanes are on weather hold. Travel is a day trip, but inclement weather may require an overnight stay.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment background check including fingerprinting.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Work experience within a behavioral health (mental health and/or substance abuse) organization is preferred.
Awareness of the importance of recovery in living with a mental illness or an addiction problem. Must have lived experience in recovery from substance use disorders and/or mental health challenges
Demonstrate low-stress behavior in words and actions. Ability to work well with others.
Be comfortable with conducting meetings both in person and virtually.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office products and Zoom.
Comply with, observe and maintain strict confidentiality standards in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 laws and regulations.
