Key Responsibilities:
Provide deskside support for end users including IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities
Reimage and deploy PCs as part of refresh or break/fix processes
Perform hardware troubleshooting and replacement for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Support users with Office 365 applications and Windows OS issues
Document incidents, service requests, and actions taken using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
Collaborate remotely with team members across other locations to resolve complex issues
Perform basic hands-and-feet network support: check switch power status, create console sessions as directed
Ensure timely and professional communication with end users and team leads
Technical Environment & Minimum Requirements:
Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments
Proven hands-on experience with Office 365 at the deskside level
Basic knowledge of device imaging, reimaging, and PC deployment best practices
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Nice to Have:
Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Familiarity with Windows Autopilot deployments
Hands-and-feet network support (switch checks, console sessions)
Certifications:
Certifications such as A+, MCP, or ITIL are a plus but not required

How You'll Contribute
Triage, prioritize, categorize, resolve and/or escalate cases within our ITSM (Service Cloud - Salesforce) with a focus on meeting SLAs

The Public Safety Communications Training support specialist reports to the Services & Support Division Manager and plays a key role in supporting new hire training, continuing education, and quality initiatives for our 911 Center. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Public Safety Communications facility.
This position normally works a standard Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. schedule. Individuals who apply will go through an online assessment process. Candidates must be able to successfully complete a psychological evaluation as part of a conditional offer of employment.
Purpose of the Position:
The purpose of this position is to assist with various training programs within the Buncombe County Public Safety Communications (PSC) Department as well as assisting with the 911 Emergency Communications Quality Assurance (QA).
Minimum Education, Training, and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of two (2) years of public safety telecommunicator experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Dispatch experience in law, fire, and EMS preferred.
