About the Role
Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a leading outdoor and sporting goods manufacturer to hire an Operations Support Specialist. This role manages the end-to-end customer order process, including order entry, account setup, and tracking in Microsoft D365. It serves as a key customer contact, handling inquiries, complaints, and coordination with warehouses and internal teams. The position also supports co-op advertising programs, resolves invoice issues, maintains distributor relationships, and performs general office and administrative tasks as needed.

Job Description
In this role, you will:
Process orders received via phone, website, electronic data interchange (EDI) or other PO forms
Review product availability and orders in the company ERP system (Microsoft D365 platform)
Create customer accounts for new customers in Microsoft D365 system
Follow up on customer inquiries and update customer records as necessary
Answer phones and direct calls accordingly
Assist in documenting and handling of customer complaints
Communicate with off-site warehouse regarding ship dates, freight charges, follow up and track orders
Manage co-op advertising program for all customers, confirming proof of performance with sales & marketing department, and issuing credit/debit memos accordingly
Maintain domestic and international distributor relations
Collaborate with corporate Accounts Receivable and Import departments to solve invoice inquiries
Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing, ordering office supplies/equipment and responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
Perform miscellaneous other assignments with a high degree of urgency and flexibility
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, communications, finance or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years customer service or account representative experience
Experience working with ERP systems/Microsoft D365 is preferred

Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Advise on technical applications for workholding, including but not limited to:
Developing a clear understanding of the machine tool environment (HMC, VMC, 5-axis/5-sided, usable workspace, and table layout).
Evaluating application needs, including material type, removal rate, clamping method, and part size.
Collaborate with our customers to understand their fabricating applications and requirements.
Create engineering concept CAD drawings, sketches, and solid models to demonstrate proposed solutions.
Prepare formal quotations and establish sell price and lead time using Mate's business systems.
Partner with the sales team to provide pre- and post-sale technical support.
Deliver high-quality technical service consistent with Mate's reputation for customer service and in-field support.
