1994

Without the SBUs it would not have been so easy to break up the division in 1994 into one group consisting of Heavy Duty and Starting Motors forming Remy International and the remaining to stay at least for a couple of years with GM until it became part of Delphi.

1994- Opened Lithium Polymer battery development center in Indianapolis.

1999

1999 Establishment of the Maxxium distribution joint venture with three partners: Rémy Cointreau, The Edrington Group and Jim Beam Brands Worldwide (Fortune Brands)

2000

2000 Acquisition of Bols Royal Distilleries, including the Bols and METAXA brands

2001

2001 Vin & Sprit joins the Maxxium network as a fourth partner

2005

2005 Disposal of Bols’ Polish operations to CEDC

2009

2009 March 30: Rémy Cointreau exits the Maxxium joint venture

Just one of many reasons GM went bankrupt in 2009.

2010

However, in early 2010 Families Forever began operating in the front through the old Plant 18 lobby entrance.

2011

2011 July 8: Rémy Cointreau sells its Champagne branch to EPI

In 2011 ERTL Enterprises purchased Plant 16.

2012

2012 September 3: Acquisition of the Bruichladdich Distillery, a producer of single malt Scotch whiskies on the isle of Islay, Scotland

2015

In 2015, Borg-Warner bought Remy International Corporation.

In 2015, BorgWarner acquired Remy International Inc.

2016

In late November 2016, the sign in front of the engineering and office headquarters building at the I-69 at the Pendleton, IN exit was changed from the Remy International Corp.

2017

2017 January 5: Acquisition of French single malt whisky Domaine des Hautes Glaces

As of 2017, ERTL Combustion, EPMC LLC, and 3B Construction Solutions, American Playground, IPM Machining, JDW Towing, Aqua Marine, and Ellis Enterprises were all tenants in the facility.

2020

2020 The Rémy Cointreau Group acquires the Maison de Cognac J.R. Brillet in May and the century-old champagne House J. de Telmont in October.
