Responsibility:
You will be responsible for going door-to-door, collecting trash and recycling from each resident's trash container at an apartment complex, and transferring it to the correct on-site dumpster and/or compactor location. Additionally, you will be responsible to clean up any loose trash around the community and documenting any resident non-compliance. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Summary:
Skilled labor for various areas of maintenance ranging from heavy lifting, facility projects, cleaning and assisting trade shops. Positions may be open in Electric Shop, Landscaping, and HVAC. Candidates must be available to work 20-28 hours per week, between the operating hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm; Monday - Friday.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
Assist in the reporting and respond of Facilities Maintenance requests.
Delivering packages, moving heavy objects/furniture, setting up for events and stocking inventory.
Cleaning campus buildings or vacant student housing apartments.
Changing AC filters, light bulbs and batteries in smoke detectors.
Installs or assists in the installation of new residential HVAC systems.
Assists in the installation and maintenance of campus HVAC systems (pumps, air handlers, pneumatic systems, chillers and boilers), if so assigned.
Installs or assists in the installation of new residential electrical services, panels, wiring, and devices, as overseen by a licensed electrician.
Installs or assists in the installation of campus electrical systems and devices according to drawings made by engineers, licensed electricians, and/or other applicable plans.
Lawn mowing, gardening, irrigation, tree trimming, root removal and other basic yard work.
Helping with demolition and clean-up of job sites to prepare for or finish work.
Assisting with delivery and set up of appliances.
Helping with basic oil changes and cleaning of vehicles if assigned to work vehicle.
Special projects and extra labor for trades work as assigned by supervisor or management staff.

Must be familiar with common hand tools. Basic problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. Must have good communication skills and be able to relate and work well with teammates.
Qualifications / Education:
Commercial experience in landscaping, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Valid proof of identity and U.S. Work Authorization via I9 documentation and successful completion of E-Verify.

Valid Drivers License and the ability to pass the Motor Vehicle Report may be required if position operates vehicles.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time while preforming manual labor tasks.
Must be able to work outdoors during operative North Texas weather conditions.
Must be able to carry 10-40 pounds of parts and equipment occasionally and throughout a shift.
