Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The total Compensation range for this position is $48,700-$73,000 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms after completion of the comprehensive paid training program. We are seeking an experience Applications Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a familiarity with ID/OD grinding. Must have a minimum of 1 year of CNC experience, preferably ID/OD grinding. Candidate will facilitate time studies, test grinds, process development, and on/off site training. Travel (including overnight) is expected 60-80%.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Able to prepare, setup and operate grinding/CNC equipment.
Working knowledge of Fanuc and/or Siemens controls.
Fluent in reading and writing CNC program code.
Must possess blueprint/CAD interpretation skills, ability to interpret sketches, engineering drawings, etc.
Must be able to work with close tolerances (imperial and metric).
Understanding of inspection techniques, equipment, and gauges as well as micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.

Conduct/facilitate training classes both in-house and at off-site facilities.
Assist in prototype machine PLC and option testing of mechanical and control software functions.
Demonstrate and instruct techniques, methods and procedures for machine tool equipment and related attachments and accessories.
Provide technical phone support for customers, salespersons, and distributors. Identify and resolve customer problems and issues through remote means such as phone, video conference, e-mail etc.
Utilize internal resources to identify and resolve service issues as needed.
Communicate and coordinate application activities internally.
Escalate/forward service calls to management if necessary.
Organize and maintain documentation of application procedures.
Administration:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Complete reports after each application run-off, test, training, etc.
Communicate follow up activities through reports and/or other electronic means.
Complete application billings and expense reports in a timely manner.
Must have good credit and make on-time payments corporate credit card.
Available for after-hour phone support for key customers, service/apps engineers, sales as needed.

Responsibilities:

Follow scheduled routes, communicate with office staff and managers, and maintain accurate, organized records.
Maintain equipment, vehicle, and personal safety gear in good working condition, while utilizing technology to manage appointments and customer records.
Qualifications:
Must have 1+ years of customer service experience, knowledge of construction, and basic handy skills, including experience with ladders and power tools.
Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license, as driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role. Driving record must meet the company's insurance standards.
Earn and maintain state-required training and pest control licensing if applicable (provided).
