The Seasonal Grounds Worker is an hourly and on-call position that performs basic grounds maintenance for upkeep, repair, renovation and new landscape work on campus. The position is scheduled to begin upon selection. The Grounds Workers will provide assistance for all grounds maintenance upkeep and landscape operations. This position is part of the Facilities team and will report directly to the Ground's Worker Lead. This position will remain open until filled.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work hours for this temporary (seasonal) position will be 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and may vary based on operational needs. Work is physical in nature and performed outdoors with exposure to the elements of weather.

Renton Technical College is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to serve as our Interim Dean of Health & Human Services. The interim dean will be responsible for the leadership and direction of the certificated and degree programs within the Health & Human Services division of the college. Working with college and industry partners, this position determines program development needs, leads the design of curricula that enhances employees skills, student access and success, and complies with professional accreditation requirements. As a member of the college's instructional team, the position also has responsibility for operational management, leadership, direction towards the retention and recruitment of students, including collaboration and contribution towards the college operational and strategic plans.

Administrative Responsibilities:

* Ensure areas of responsibility operate effectively within the policies and procedures of the college and appropriate governmental agencies. Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
* Responsible for the timely development and monitoring of budgets for assigned programs, including specifications development and travel approval, while assisting with the annual, comprehensive instructional budget. Ensure appropriate cost and quality control measures are adhered to when orders for instructional and non-instructional products are purchased.
* Assists in the management of labs (computer and science), facilities and equipment including: controlling inventory, notifying maintenance and custodial personnel when necessary and in locating appropriate space for activities.
* In collaboration with campus safety, ensure that appropriate safety and security measures are designed, implemented and maintained in all Health and Human Services Programs and areas.
* Provide required procedures, specifications, and reports in accordance with established schedules and formats. Direct the development and maintenance of all Health and Human Services related student handbooks specific to each program faculty, staff and administration
* Research, analyze, and evaluate feedback data to assist in student development and persistence. Assist in resolving student issues, including discipline.
* Support and participate in grant applications relevant to program area.

Experience coaching and mentoring staff is preferred as well as experience managing complex and diverse instructional disciplines.
* Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to acquire, knowledge of contemporary curricular context for allied health education. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community partners. Entrepreneurial experience working collaboratively with local and regional institutions in developing and maintaining innovative programs in response to changing community needs.

Edmonds College and the Business Division invite applications for an associate faculty instructor for the Visual Communications Department. The college seeks faculty who will adapt to a variety of teaching situations, can use technology to teach effectively, and will work with students, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity and student success.
The associate faculty will be responsible for teaching Visual Communications courses that specialize within graphic design, digital illustration, digital imaging, UI/UX design, and video editing/production field of study. This lecture/lab course utilizes a classroom outfitted with a computer lab with Adobe Creative Cloud. The instructor will also be responsible for working with the Visual Communications Chair in the maintenance and ongoing development.
Faculty members are responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes to a diverse student body in either an classroom/studio environment combined with online course management and/or within an online/hybrid model; developing curriculum; preparing teaching materials; developing and assessing student learning outcomes to evaluate student work; assigning grades; maintaining required records; and consulting with students to support their success.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

COMPENSATION:
Work schedule is based on an eleven week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,208 at Step A. The special assignment rate of $45 per hour and meetings are paid according to the CBA stipend rate starting at $55 for meetings that are .5 hours to less than 2 hours.

Clark College is currently accepting applications for a part-time Maintenance Mechanic 2 to support the Facilities Services Department. Hours for this position will be approximately 17 hours a week (maximum of 1050 hours a year) Monday - Friday, between the hours of 6 am - 5 pm.
Position Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently perform semi-skilled work in carpentry, plumbing, welding and metal fabrication, steam fitting, electrical, HVAC, mechanical and machinist work in all areas of the commercial building industry.
Under the technical direction of a journey-level trades worker, this position will assist the trades person to perform skilled work in carpentry, plumbing, steam fitting, electrical, mechanical and machinist work. Experience in all trades not necessary to apply.
Operate hand tools, power tools and other shop equipment as needed.
Perform minor repairs on building fixtures, plumbing, and heating.
Operate automotive equipment to transport materials and supplies.
Assist in the fabrication of equipment and materials constructed in trade shops in accordance with project requirements.
Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: experience working in a commercial/education environment is preferred but not required; experience in various trades such as: HVAC, paint, drywall, carpentry and plumbing (experience in all trades is not necessary to apply)

Under the general direction of the Basic Skills Director of Student Services, this position provides outreach, intake, and support for students in the high school completion and GED programs. Duties include community outreach, managing admission, tracking data, advising, and ongoing support for students, leading to successful program completion and transition to college. This position plays a critical role in student enrollment, retention, and success at Edmonds College.
The School of Academic Foundations serves students from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and is committed to successful outcomes for all.

Reporting to the Director and Assistant Director of Counseling and Wellness, counselors are responsible for providing culturally competent and social justice oriented individual and group counseling and outreach to ensure continued quality care and support for Edmonds College students.

Collaborate with the IT Security Manager/CISO in designing enterprise security architecture, policies, and procedures.
Assist in developing and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in the gymnasium, field, or in the weight room. Duties require standing/walking for long periods of time, the ability to demonstrate techniques associated with the sport, and lifting materials in excess of 25 pounds. The ability to communicate clearly is essential. Personal transportation is needed to travel to meetings and for scouting student-athletes. This position also requires driving vans to games.
WORK SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
COMPENSATION:
Coaching stipend is $5,500 with a $2,000 recruiting/retention bonus if objectives are met. There are stipend increases for years of service.

Program Specialist 2 - Financial Aid Specialist
SALARY: $43,716 - $49,116

DESCRIPTION:
The Financial Aid Program Specialist 2 (PS2) works in the financial aid office under general supervision and reports to the associate director. The nature of the work is technical and requires an ability to interpret and work in accordance with federal, state, and college policies, procedures, and regulations, and to coordinate work between the various financial aid programs and the Business Office to ensure college administrative capability is maintained. The position performs complex duties and operates at the journey or fully qualified level.
This position is responsible for coordinating the information and application processes of the various financial aid programs, has extensive contact with financial aid students by providing technical support for the various program processes, and by providing problem resolution related to student eligibility issues, including citizenship status, satisfactory academic progress, income and tax issues, and other various eligibility criteria.
The PS2 also acts as liaison to other departments within the Student Services division, such as Enrollment Services, Academic Advising, Instructional Departments, and the local school district. This position must interpret, review, and apply program-specific policies, procedures and regulations; and develop courses of action to carry out program activities needed to serve students.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provide comprehensive service, information, and assistance in-person, on the phone, using email, and other electronic means for all financial aid programs
* Work independently to identify and resolve student issues, complaints, and exceptions for unusual circumstances as allowed by regulations
* Assist students with the application processes, which include the state WASFAA, the federal FAFSA, and the federal Direct Loan applications
* Assist students in navigating the financial aid appeal processes
* Assist students in completing their files based on required documentation
* Refer student issues that require exceptions to state or federal regulations to the associate director or the executive director
* Create and draft letters to students related to problem resolution, regulatory requirements, and general information
* Develop and provide workshops related to individual financial aid programs on the various application processes, and information sessions as needed for campus academic programs, campus departments, and the Edmonds School District
* Maintain a broad understanding of eligibility requirements for all aid programs administered by the financial aid office
* Conduct research using federal and state resources to resolve student eligibility issues
* Assist with the quarterly satisfactory academic progress process on a quarterly basis
* Analyze and evaluate student transcripts and determine eligibility for continued aid
* Document results in ctc Link
* Process initial student appeals for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
* Review Transcripts based on SAP Policy
* Use independent judgment to analyze and evaluate if the documentation provided by the student supports the student's statement

* Independently administer all aspects of third party payments and enrollment adjustments which include:
* Authorization of program fund disbursements using the college ctc Link system
* Confirmation of attendance with faculty in all classes for students who withdraw, and make adjustments as needed
* Communicate and coordinate with the business office and the cashier office to ensure that state cash management rules are followed, issues and errors are resolved, activities are coordinated, the financial aid ctc Link system is updated appropriately, and reconciliation of the third party payments occurs based on the established schedule
* Process student appeals for maximum time frame (MTF) on a quarterly basis
* Use independent professional judgment to analyze and evaluate student transcripts and determine eligibility for continued aid
* Document results in ctc Link
* Upload state and federal application records, and student documentation, and review for accuracy
* Review applications in the ctc Link suspense file, make appropriate corrections, and upload applications
* Analyze and evaluate documentation submitted by students
* Communicate with students regarding missing or inaccurate documentation
* Mark files as ready to review as appropriate
* Research and confer regularly with department staff and outside agencies, such as state and national organizations, regarding the interpretation of regulations and the implementation of the various program rules
* Participate in the development of specific program standards, and help to identify areas in need of development and training
* Tracking in Documents and forms from students, checking for completeness and accuracy, and uploading the documents in our database system for processor review.
* Use independent judgment to analyze and evaluate Identity Verification, incidents of suspected fraud, and notify the Executive Director of Financial Aid for reporting
* Document results in ctc Link
* Host financial aid information sessions and completion events once a month. This may include occasional late nights and/or weekends.
* Complete NASFAA Student Eligibility certification training and pass the certification test within six months of hire
* Complete the NASFAA Application Process certification training and pass the certification test within one-year of hire
* Attend all staff meetings as directed
* Attend conference/training meetings as directed
* Perform other duties as assigned
This is a classified position reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid.

* Recertify every five years

This may include standing for long periods, stooping, bending, climbing on step stools, and lifting or moving objects up to 30 lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential.
