    A telecommunications company is looking for experienced Telecom Technicians, with at least five years of telecommunications experience, to help install and maintain communication systems throughout Alaska and beyond. This is an opportunity to travel across Alaska and experience variety within the telecom industry. We need someone who is familiar with establishing voice and data networks, knows how to inspect and test lines and/or cables, and has effective communication skills. Repair or replace faulty equipment such as defective and damaged telephones, wires, switching system components, and associated equipment. Remove and remake connections to change circuit layouts, following engineering plans, work orders or diagrams. Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain how it is to be used, and respond to any inquiries or complaints. Analyze test readings, computer printouts, and trouble reports to determine equipment repair needs and required repair methods. Adjust or modify equipment to enhance equipment performance or to respond to customer requests. Run appropriate power, ground, or coaxial cables. Install all necessary transmission equipment components, including antennas or antenna mounts, surge arrestors, transmission lines, connectors, or TMAs. Conduct yourself safely at all times, ensure a safe area for others, and complete required training, assessments and reports timely. As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are a key member of the team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances and other equipment. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. Specific Responsibilities: Install home appliances/equipment Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions Job Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent Valid Driver's License with a clean record Must be at least 18 years of age Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances Flexible and variable hours (no weekends) Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
